With the league being so offensive oriented, sign Wallace please..

you have to sign him. Even when he doesn't get the yards, he is always double teamed freeing up our other WR's. He is our #1, you can't let him go. As for those that want a TE, just wait, I think Saunders will be a big surprise next year!!!

It will be wasted if something isn't done to shore up the o-line. I'd like to see the TE used more but the truth is the o-line was really bad, 3 man rush and still no time to throw shouldn't happen in the NFL.[/quote]

This is particularly frustrating. Why not use Heath the way they did in the NE game? I understand against some teams he is going to have to stay in and block more but this guy really should be utilized more in the passing attack.

I say keep him and see how him and the the team look next year. Remember he can be traded if needed, and his contract allows.

    The team NEEDS:
    - a legit guard
    - a legit middle linebacker
    - d-lineman
    - better scheme (o and d)
The team could be strengthened additionally but NEEDS these.

I would like to see this receiver and te corp in an offense that uses a lot of single back sets with an o-line that can run and pass block.

Let Mendy, Hamton, Kemo, Moore, Smith, Foote, McFadden go. Try to resign Cotchery and restructure Ward.

A superbowl offense needs a 3 good wide receivers with a decent backup, two good tight ends, and a decent running game IMO.

You know I was of the opinion we don't really need to resign him, but the more I think about it the more I agree with you. Hell, even if he doesn't catch another ball, teams have to cover the deep threat he poses so just by default he soaks up 2 defenders quite a bit of the time.

BA maybe a good X and O man but he doesnt have a feel for the real time play calling. Get rid of BA, draft an OL, and it will all fall into place. We have 2 great running backs, one fast, one a bruiser. Mix the running game up, keep the defense guessing, and it opens up the WR/TE talent that we have. Wallace struggled after the first part of the season bc he was covered or Ben couldnt get the ball to him. I like Wallace but after they figured him out, he wasnt as big a threat.

The guy had nearly 1,200 receiving yards. The offense as a whole couldn't score, but he still had 8 TDs. Not a threat? Come on. Even if he doesn't have great games every week, he allows guys like Sanders, Brown, and Cotchery to be left one-on-one. Wallace is a weapon.

As that is so true, but is he worth the money you will be paying him just for that aspect?

If that's the case, we can fine some track guy and pay him just to run down the field. It would be cheaper.

I'm sure he will be resigned but if he wasn't I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

Hes not a threat bc of the play calling, thats the point I was trying to make. We have no running game...not bc of talent. If all we do is throw 40-50 yd bombs to him, the defense picks up on this fast, and they did. And youre exactly right, they couldnt score and left too many points on the field. You cant win games by kicking field goals instead of getting touchdowns.

You don't get rid of guys because the OC can't make use of the personnel. You get rid of the OC.

But you cant tie up huge cap money on players that arent being used either..... We know the answer to this discussion, sadly our FO doesnt or they arent addressing it. Bc it looks like BA is coming back for another year.

    let him walk
or in his case RUN LIKE THE DICKENS
we need a qb who can actually read a defense or hell, throw the ball as if it wasn't a PUNT!!!
trade the qb keep the weapons and sign JAMARCUS RUSSELL what's the difference

The cap is fine. There's at least two players retiring and a bunch more not returning. You sign Wallace, bring back Cotchery, and extend Brown and Sanders. WR is set for YEARS. It would be the dumbest move I have ever seen if they get rid of a player because the OC can't use him.

I've been reading things about the cap jumping up quite a bit after next season so teams can be a little creative this year.
