Definitely. Assuming he'll play for a case of ICB and the honor of wearing a Steelers jersey.

Not sure how that would count against the cap, but its got to be less than Ike Taylors cap hit.

No thanks, we already have one old CB who can't cover in Ike.

You may be saying this as a joke but I'm not totally against this. I rarely ever talk about going after another team's sloppy seconds (I am one of those build through the draft guys, sorry) and I'm not some huge Hester fan but I do think the guy can play. I never thought he fit Chicago's system very well and always saw him as someone with a lot of potential. I really think he would do well here, besides being such a return threat.

I was thinking the same. He would come cheap and it prevents Antonio Brown from fielding punts. The only issue is justifying a roster spot for one position. He can't play anything else. Unless we use him as a receiver/slot back.

Adam Carriker. One of my draft darlings from years ago. Obviously he has to be checked out medically, but he probably can be had for cheap. He was built to play 3-4 DE. Unfortunately the Rams wasted the first 2 years of his career bulking him up to 320 and playing him at 4-3 NT.

Carriker showed in 2011 what he is capable of. Our cap situation probably won't allow it, but I would definitely bring him in for a visit.

49ers struck gold by taking Justin Smith from a 4-3 and placing him in a 3-4, so I wouldn't be against bringing Carriker in at all. I actually forgot about him after his name was hot and heavy around draft time and a year or two after he was in the league (as a trade target).

Have to sign him to a four year deal or he will never see the field in DL's defense? Lol

I'd definitely take a look at Carriker. I feel he could still be a stud in the right system

I, too, forgot about this guy but remember liking him at draft time. I wouldn't be against this at all!

Sproles would be asking for a lot, but wouldn't mind seeing him replace LSH. Not that it's going to happen.

I saw that, didn't bother posting it :lolol:

I do think they have 1 splash signing in them this year, just don't think it will be on a RB.
