The Browns destroyed the Cowboys yesterday.
The Ravens have destroyed every team they have played with the exception of the Chiefs.

The teams we have played have a combined record of 1-11. That one win was the Broncos over a lowly Jet team.

The Texans are now 0-4 and had their ass handed to them by a subpar Viking team.

I know we can only play the teams we are scheduled to play. But are we as good as we think we are? or are we fortunate?

I think it's hard to get excited but hey we are 3-0 with a bye week they can't be better than what their record shows.

But be prepared for anything have to win more games. AFC looks incredible right now with all the teams, much better than the NFC is.

AFC North just might be the best division in football right now.

No reason to be concerned about tough division rivals. Whether we have a tough or weak division is irrelevant. Either we're good enough to win it all or we're not. If we're not, we'll get exposed by someone, whether it's a division rival or not.

I did not view as a SB contender this year. With that said, we're 3-0. So no reason to be concerned.

IDK. You are probably right. But even the Bengals are beginning to look like less of a doormat.

Only team that concerns me is the Steelers. We have the talent to win it all. A defense that has played together now for a few years & a qb that could match Mahommes on a good day.

Yeah I but it up there too for sure.

NFC East is just down right awful.

Browns beat the Bengals, Washington and an overhyped Cowboys. Combined records of 3-8-1

Ravens beat the Browns, Texans and Washington. Combined records of 4-8

They’re not exactly setting the league on fire, but they are doing what we are doing - winning the games they are supposed to.

Just look at the games from week to week and most teams are in the games up to the middle of 4th quarter regardless how bad they are supposed to be. The players don't think like the fans and media think. They are professionals who think they are just as good as the other guys.

Off hand I can only think of two games where the Steelers won right from the start. The year we beat the Eagles in Pittsburgh. We dominated from the opening kick off. We never used our punter. What a wonderful day and week after that was. And the next week we actually beat the Patriots. Remember both Eagles and Pats came in undefeated. The other was against Carolina in a night game. JuJu caught a pass and headed to the end zone on 1st or 2nd play I think and we dominated the whole game.

I'm sure there are others but most Steeler games make ulcers a given.

The big story is the Brownies almost choked away a 41-14 lead in the 4th quarter.

They just need to be concerned about getting to 10-11 wins, that should be enough to get into the playoffs.

Wentz has to work with 3rd and 4th string WRs. Eagles are not good at all. If Garropollo was starting... 49ers win SNF game easily. On paper, Steelers should have no trouble with the Eagles... but we all have seen how Steelers play against teams they should beat over the past 10 years. Instead of a 3 score cushion in the 4th... it will go down to the wire.

That's not how competition works. You concern yourself with 2 things, your next opponent and yourself. Your record is insignificant.

the ravens gave up 314 yds in the air to Dwayne Haskins
the browns were up 41 - 14 and nearly lost
while Joe Burrow is definitely the real deal, the bengals on the whole are not
    what exactly is everyone's worry???

No so much worried. I am just looking at the level of competition we have played vs others in the division. We all knew the Giants were going to bad. Broncos may be have been better than they are without the injuries. But we all felt like the Texans were a good team despite the record. Now that they lost to the Vikings I have to wonder how good they really are. Titans would have been a good test. i really wish we didnt have to have our bye week right now.

    Hey Steel Hog.

Can't people just enjoy where we are at? Who we are? If the Steelers just take care of their "House" then let the chips fall where they may. I am not picking on anyone here, not at all. Just ride with it folks. We will find out how we stack up against which team(s) may be of concern to some people when those times come.

Every season, the same stuff around here from some: "I am afraid of this team, boo-hoo". "I am afraid of that team, boo-hoo". And what do these so called "worried-warts" around here think that the fans of those teams are saying about us? Huh? I would bet those teams' message boards have some of the same type of "worry-warts". My advice to the "worry warts" here is to go over to those message boards and see if that holds true. My bet is that it does.

Again, The Steelers know who they are. We know who they are. For me, a Real Good Football Team at the current moment with room to improve. As I have stated several times here now, IMO, this is the most complete team that I have seen in a long time. There are numerous things to be excited about. Here are a few:
    • Look how well the Offense is playing. This, with Ben just re-finding himself. A budding star-studded array of "O" weapons. Wow! We are just getting started.
    • A Defense that finally has a Secondary. I know, I know. Seemingly, not as good as last year but way better than years past. Give them time to "recalibrate". I like where they are at. I just think some fine-tuning is needed.
That is it. Overall, we have a very good team that IMO is nowhere near peak. Actually, teams should be doing a double-take when looking at us.

Tomlin has a pretty good record when he gets up by 10 or more I believe, need to check.

Actually we should be thankful the Browns and even Bengals are starting off well. I think competition brings out the best in players. To often we have believed out won hype, and for whatever reason play down to other teams. This is not only a Tomlin thing, and finally it looks like the teams in out division are coming to play. Not that the AFC North has not been somewhat competitive with itself, every division has rivals that need no hare filled speeches, it just is.

Not only that, they are very small in the secondary, which should be a matchup nightmare against our receivers...which is why Ben will probably pull one his 3 to 4 interception games and give me an ulcer.

Kinda like how Pittsburgh should have lost to both Denver and Houston right?! Those types of games where the Steelers "Play Down To the Level of Competition" troupe?! :hmm:
