He would be less of a project than AV who went from DE to tackle.

Don’t let his listed weight fool you, several teammates said he is more like 315

Ditto, I know there are many on here who don't think he could play a huge part in the passing game, but I am not one.

If he could actually convert and be a solid LT that would be much more beneficial than him being a 2nd or 3rd TE.

Finally someone thinking outside the box!

Don’t know how they’d ever survive without his 261 yards and 1 TD in two years if he converted to tackle.

He stonewalled everyone he went up against in drills. TJ was the only one to move him. Imagine if he dedicated all his time to being a lineman.

imagine if they threw him the ball like they did last week? most places he wouldn't be a TE 2-3. only here because we can't get a tackle that is good enough to do it on his own. you keep him as a duel threat being TE and a blocker. what our other TE's are not. rodgers will use him, or any good coach.

He’s not that guy, if he was they wouldn’t have gone out and brought Jonnu in. You really think if they had a Gronk/Kelce type TE they wouldn’t be utilizing him?

after this season, the entire nfl will see his value and his capital will put the team over the top in being able to trade for the top QB in 26.

one has nothing to do with the other. jonnu is more to be a better friermuth than an addition for washington. neither friermuth or smith are great blockers, but smith can do many things. washington can do many things. muth really cannot he limits a lot of the offense. smith was also way under utilized to his fullest until last year.

rodgers likes his TE's and will make a believer out of many here even with washington that is a weapon that they shouldn't pigeonhole. which brings us back to if we had a LT that could hold his own we could use this kid to his fullest.

They brought in smith because he’s a talented receiver. Remember we really only have one proven wr on the roster. Perhaps smith will be able to utilize this tight end group in a similar fashion as the pats did with gronk and Hernandez. In case yall forgot that was a devastating combo.

Being that we have what appears to be two very good young tackles moving Washington to tackle would be foolish.
