I agree. Munchak had him slowed down and then Nelson pushed him away. It happens so fast that nobody saw it and only saw how Munchak retaliated.

Munch did not go out looking for trouble, it just came towards him and it is debatable if he did anything wrong on purpose, so I say no fine.

Porter should not be fined. It's BS if he is. Find video of every serious injury in every game in the NFL. You will see multiple coaches coming on the field to see their player. It is NEVER enforced. So to do it now would be completely unfair. This is the problem with the league and their rules. They don't enforce many of them. So how can you selectively enforce them?

This premise that Porter just came on to go jaw with the Bengals is total BS. How is it that the Bengals players get a pass for surrounding porter, pushing him and yelling at him? Since when is it acceptable for a player to go after a coach or anyone who's not wearing a uniform? Even if that person is saying something..it's not. You can count on one hand how many times you see a player going after an opponents coach in the last 40 years.

Oh and the truth about Porter.... Watch the video. Burfict takes a swing at our trainer after shoving him. The trainer looks to be in his 60's. A small grey hair old man getting shoved and nearly hit blindsided in the face or neck by a 250-lb thug wearing pads. That happened and Porter turns around and is saying something to Burfict... either about hitting the trainer or trying to get Browns attention as he's being carried off the field. Not sure which but either is justification after what just happened. Since when is it acceptable for a player who just knocked a dude out, go anywhere near that player while he's being tended to be medical staff? Burfict should have been flagged again in that situation...if you just watch what he does to our trainer you will agree 100%. Then maybe Porter's reaction makes a whole lot more sense. And it was the Bengals who surrounded him and started shoving him. The Bengals should be fined and Burfict and that guy shoving Porter should be suspended.

Also, the Bengals are playing hard so I find it funny when Adam Jones runs to the media and complains that the officials needed to be tougher on the Steelers.

Thugs do not run to cops. Fake thugs run to cops.

"Joey Porter needs to be fined. Wahh."

    Snitching IMO.

Beachum had been knocked down and was right behind Munchak's feet. With Nelson plowing into him, there was no place Munchak could have moved, except falling down on top of a player recovering from a season-ending injury. Grabbing Nelson and moving him to the side was probably his only option.

This. There was a fallen body immediately behind Munch, and Nelson didn't seem to be letting up much despite being quite far OB. Objectively, it looked mostly (angrily) defensive to me.

I would be surprised if the team fines Munchak. Munchak tried to stop Nelson from going into the bench and Nelson didn't seem to let up. He got the flag for trying to swing Nelson afterward. Give him a talking to about "retaliation" and/or confronting players, whatever. Then pat him on the back and tell him to get us ready for Von Miller and Ware.
