Ok, I freely admit it, I was so wrong about him. The guy makes tough grab after tough grab, at least every time I tune in and watch.

I hope Bryant can build on his good showing last week.

Was Benjamin there when we took Archer?

no he went late in the first round, and looking like a great pick too. This year will go down I think as a banner year for rookie WR.

Taking Archer instead of a DB in round 3 is looking pretty dubious now.

Ah, thought he lasted until at least the second.

Well, if Archer does go the way of Rainey and Logan, I hope that puts the end to that experiment.

Benjamin certainly would've looked good in black and good, but I'm not too upset we didn't take him. It looks like we still got a pretty darn good WR in the draft anyways. Our defense really needed those top 2 picks this past year, and will probably get the top pick again next year.

They only way we get Benjamin is if we don't get Shazier.

Bryant in the 4th is much better value. I felt that way in the draft, then I wasn't sure... now I feel that way again. :smiley1:

The Archer pick is still a question mark, but it's completely separate from Benjamin.

Kelvin Benjamin- 5 TDs, 8 games
Martavis Bryant- 3 TDs, 2 games

    I think I'm OK with this. :smiley1:

Well, to be fair, I posted this before the Colts game :lolol:

Benjamin is making ridiculous catches though, the kind of catches Steelers fans have been longing for, guys draped all over him and he just goes up and gets then damn thing.

My memory was fuzzy, I was under the impression Benjamin lasted to the 3rd. I agree, still would have taken Shazier and even Tuitt in the 2nd.

I still have Benjamin evny-itis though :lolol:

:this!:They could've of drafted EJ Gaines CB of the Rams, he's playing a lot as a rookie they got him in the 4th or 5th rd.

    5 TDs, 2.5 games.

At this rate, he'll break Jerry Rice's record in his 6th season. :dancing:

Now 6 TDs in 3.5 games. I'm not piling on you, I'm genuinely impressed with Bryant. The man has never NOT scored a touchdown. This was his first full game "only" scoring one.

We must get at least 2 cb's this year.
That can actually play and play early.
Whether it be thru the draft or FA it must happen.
If we stay in the 3-4 defense, we will also need another OLB(Worilds). The Steelers usually can evaluate the LB position, its the cb and OL positions that they seem to whiff on.

I'd like to see him be more of a factor between the 20's, too, but I'll settle for a TD machine if thats as good as he gets.

Benjamin is playing great but looks like we stole Martavis Bryant. Pretty sure most of us had Bryant as a Round 2 talent during the draft process. Interesting to know why he fell to Round 4.

While we are talking WRs in the draft, how about Jordan Matthews? I know a couple of us had him pegged as a Round 1 talent and he is definitely living up to that billing.

I was one of the ones pining for Mathews. I have not kept track of him during the season though, I'll have to go look at his number now.

The emergence of Bryant though, will make that easier to swallow.

I was also a big Matthews fan. I thought he could end up being the best WR in the draft, and I expected him to be the biggest day 1 contributor out of the rookie WRs.

However, I also really liked Bryant, and thought that he had as much upside as any WR prospect in the draft. I expected Bryant to struggle early in the NFL, and was not surprised that he had growing pains in the preseason. I am pleasantly surprised at how quickly he has come along since hitting the active roster. What we're seeing this year is what I had hoped for in 2015 or 2016.
