where is darnell washington? :smiley1: not so sure i want a QB that high, especially if mitch stays. would like a LB as well somewhere. i am also not taking a WR quite that high until we see what happens with austin and miller. i was actually thinking of tune the qb from houston in the 7th round. maybe just an UDFA if mitch stays. i do like the first 3 though and 7.a.

Mitch is gone after this year and the Steelers need to think about a long-term backup. I think Hooker provides good value in the 4th. I thought about ILB at some point as well but with with the two signings this week and the hope that Mark Robinson takes a nice step in year two, that became a little less important. I think Moss could transition to safety and would be a great pick in the 7th if he lasts.

depends if they extend mitch. i know there was some talk about it to get his cap hit down. not sure if mitch is on board with that though. i don't think moss makes it that late. 4th is where i've mostly seen him going. i like the kid.

I would be elated but shocked if Paris Johnson falls to #17. Banks and Mazi Smith would be a great second round.

Yeah, would be a nice surprise in the 7th for sure. Maybe a better thought would be to grab him in the 4th and take the Tune kid at QB in the 7th as you suggest above.

Well, maybe the Steelers will “name that Tune” in the 7th.:lolol::facepalm: (I’ll see myself out.)

I’d be over the moon with this draft, Jack. Hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think Moss or Patterson make it to the 7th.

Unlikely. But it’s not called the “shot in the dark” mock draft for nothing. But hey, there are always some surprises on draft day. I really expect Khan to move up for a player they really want or down to procure a few extra picks. That’s a long wait between the 4th and 7th rounds and makes it less likely either of those guys are there. But we can only hope.

Pick #32 is going to be valuable. Not too much to trade up into the first for someone falling we like (for that fifth year option), or teams have overnight to make offers if they have someone they have to get at the beginning of the second round. If we don't trade up to the first, I'm pretty sure we trade out of 32.
