It was reported this morning he is improving l quickly now and will play next week. If this game was on Sunday he would probably play. Why wouldn't they just say he pinched a nerve because the more I read about the more it sounds like that is what happened.

What is the treatment for that because the entire D pinches my nerves at times?!

Lol nothing really just time to heal and get the feeling back. Normally when it comes back it comes back fast.

Because a pinched nerve is different than a stinger. You seldom hear of players having pinched nerves, though. Those types of injuries stay pretty generic on the injury report (back), (neck).

Stretching and physical therapy. Not sure if that will help with your case, though. :lollmao:

That's what I'm saying I don't think it was a stinger. I can't remember a player missing two weeks because of a stinger. Now I know this is a different circumstance with the game being Thursday night.

It's not all that uncommon for a guy to be sidelined a couple weeks from a stinger. There's so many variables with that nerve bundle and that type of injury.

Yeah that's true I guess to me it just sounds better mourning two games because of a pinched nerve then a stinger.

So, he has the potential to be a great player. Have huge concerns that he could stay heathy for a season. Without doing a lot of research, does anybody know how many games he has missed since drafted.? Has he even played in half the games..?

He could be such a good asset to the defense, but not sure we can count on him on a weekly basis.

He missed half the regular season games last year IIRC.

I mentioned in another thread that he didn't miss a start in college... For what it's worth.

I had a pinched nerve that made me lose most of the strength in my left shoulder and bicep.... it took 18 months before I was back at 100%.... but I'm twice Shazier's age. Hope he heals quickly.

I don't hold it against the player when someone rolls up on them. The shoulder injury was due to a very violent collision. These aren't soft tissue injuries we are talking about.

I'm looking at the bigger picture and not solely this injury. I guess if we have him half the games that's better then none of the games. It's good that we have a couple of decent backups at that position.

Just not sure yet if you can count on him for a whole season. I think some players are just more injury prone, and some players are slow healers. Franco Harris was a know slow healer, but rarely injured because he would avoid hard impact contact, unlike the type of player Shazier is that relays on speed and hard collisions.
