Cant really tell but I shalieve he is lifting about 315 .. looks like a 100lb weight and two 25 lbs on either side and then 15 lbs for the bar?

Yep. Saw video of him lifting weights, looks great. I`m so happy for him that he can lead a normal life. He far exceeded what I thought possible.

Yes hard to tell but it looks like 2-45s on each side. There appears to be a separation in the plates. One just has a thicker profile probably has a sort of rim to grab it by. I have weights like that. My best educated guess is
    2 -45s plus a 25 on each side= 230 + 45lbs for the bar so 275lbs. Which is still pretty amazing...

Ryan has zero quit in him. This guy needs to stay around our team as much as possible. This is what true leadership looks like.

As far as he has progressed I just don't see any doctor clearing him to play again. He will have to show that he changes his tackling technique and that is too much to guarantee.

Wish him all the best though.

Amazing, he still has a great future with the Steelers if he wants one I believe. Front office, scouting department?

The thing with deadlifts is that you have to continually do them and your strength will increase quickly.
You have to condition those muscles and they will respond. Once you get into them the weights will go up but once you stop for a decent amount of time it's like starting all over again .

Wow this was a bit ago lol.. Did not see it.. Yup.. Muscle with atrophy quickly when not exercised. Gets no easier as you age either. You have to keep the protein going and rest. Never give up :)
