Man when I saw this report and watched his highlights I got chills! He has a nose for the ball, is deceptively quick and is a tenacious pass rusher. Obviously him transitioning to OLB is a question but man after seeing his style, I believe he might be a diamond in the rough! Give him a fresh pen and sign him. I'm sure it will be a cap friendly deal. I'm jacked!

Not to pour cold water on this, but the guy will be 27 when the season starts. The only LBs on the current roster older than him are Timmons and Harrison. He's been released by 4 CFL teams since 2011.

Who knows maybe he'll be the next late blooming James Harrison, but the odds are long.

Seems to have good instincts, quick to the edge, high motor, decent bull rush and a nose for the football. But that's against CFL OLs. I've learned not to get too excited about these CFL superstars. They rarely pan out. We can always hope and I guess the Steelers are very disappointed at what they've been getting from their OLB group of late.

There's a WR I saw once in the CFL that I would KILL to have. He was from Texas and dude could flat out ball. I don't know how he got past our scouts because I'm absolutely positive due to all my years of being on a message board that this guy would be great. I can't even remember his name but it was something like "Sweed" or something??? Maybe that's not it but the guy would have been one of the greatest Steelers ever if we had taken him. Oh well. You live. You learn.

Hopefully Lemon isn't a lemon and becomes another Cameron Wake ( 32 yrs old) of Miami, he played for BC before going to Miami.

Not going to hold my breath but would make a sweet story if he turns out to be anything special.

As a Canadian resident, I watch quite a bit of CFL football.

Lemon really came out of nowhere this year. You can throw out everything else he had down the previous few years, as far as being released. It started to click for him in the end of 2013 and really came together in 2014.

He looked explosive for the CFL, which is what it is. HE won't look nearly that explosive in the NFL, but I think he can contribute. He utilizes a terrific spin move. He is quick and can move in space. He had a knack for getting up and knocking down passes, although t hat may not continue in the NFL.

One of my favorite things about Lemon's game this year, was once he got in the vicinity of the QB, he brought him to the ground. Not too many QBs were able to escape his grasp.

I think its great to have hope for Lemon, but we can't compare him to Cameron Wake. Wake was absolutely DOMINANT in the CFL. Lemon was just a really good player. Its a position of need, so I do like the signing. I still have alot of hope for Howard Jones, a UDFA from last year, but bringing in Lemon certainly helps as he certainly has alot more experience.

Worilds replacement? It would be great if he turned into another Cameron Wake.

Encouraging in that most CFL quarterbacks are running quarterbacks aren't they? Isn't that the type of QB you usually see up there? It's good to know he has a knack for bringing them to the ground.

Wouldn't get too excited over this. Steelers will use up all resources to try and find someone to improve their pass rush. Dude had one good season, so he has a long way to go.

I went back and checked Wake's CFL stats. He had 23 sacks in 2008.... that's very dominant. Still, a 13 sack guy who caused 8 fumbles is worth adding to the offseason roster. I think of that as being equivalent to doing the same thing in a lower tier BCS conference like the MAC or at an FCS school, and a guy like that would probably be draft-worthy (albeit in the later rounds). I certainly wouldn't change the team's talent acquisition strategy heading into FA and the draft based on getting Lemon, but who knows?

Has this guy ever played LB? If not, it's unlikely that he even makes the team. Hopefully he's a special teams demon.
