was I wrong about shuisin. during the preseason, I was hoping the steelers keep that rookie kicker from southern miss and release shuisin. He's been having a terrific year with only 1 miss from beyond 50yrds. He's kicked 2 from over 50yrds. Anything inside the 50 has been automatic. tomlin knows his people.

Well the only thing I see you being wrong about is the spelling of his name. It's SUISHAM. Also I agree that he's done good for us. I still, for whatever reason, don't feel as good as about him as I did Jeff Reed but I'm getting more comfy with him. But don't worry about the spelling. I have two Ben jerseys and I can still manage to mess his name up some times. LOL. Can you imagine him being a little kid and his kindergarten teacher trying to show him how to spell that? I bet she was asking for a raise!

Same, I was in the D.C. area watching him shank kicks to lose games and remember the Cowboys cutting him. I'm one foot in and one out waiting for him to return to that player.

We do always seem to have players with difficult to spell names.

I wish we could get a Smith, every now and again.

The Shuisin thing made me LMAO.

I like what I see so far but am cautiously optimistic at best going into the Pittsburgh nasty weather season. Kickoffs are a big improvement!

LOL! YEAH! THAT WAS WHO I WAS TALKING ABOUT! HA HA! I hope everyone knew I was talking about Anthony Smith. He's Tom Brady's favorite DB in Steelers history! LOL.

He kicked one out the endzone on a kickoff on Sunday...which was pretty impressive too...

Some kickers take a couple years before they hit their stride....just like other rookies in the NFL. Maybe it is the same deal here?

I also think Drew Butler has done pretty good too since we're talking kickers. I was a HUGE Sep lover and REALLY wanted to see him get better but it just wasn't in the cards. I think that's a real shame too. But Butler is doing pretty good for a rookie imho.

I wanted us to get a new kicker. I give Suisham credit though, he has been kicking very well.

He still makes me nervous on anything over 30 yards.

Yes! Every time he comes up to kick, I tell my wife he's gonna shank it. He's the kind of player who needs to kick like he's been for at least two years straight, before I'll say he's money. :yeehaw:

Gotcha. At least two years straight though? How many kickers in the league live up to that I wonder?

If Batch didn't go for negative 2 on the previous play I betcha he would've made the 52. I REALLY wish Tomlin wouldn't have benched Dwyer because we'd probably be singing a different tune about that game now if he wouldn't have. I wonder if Tomlin would agree with me.

OH I KNOW!!! I was yelling this from the 3rd row of the stands and the Titans fans were cracking up at me and saying that I was actually right. We all got a good laugh out of the fact that I was even talking smack about OUR guys! Then the crying began soon after.

I was at that game sitting right behind that goal post wondering what was Tomlin thinking! It didn't look good before it even happened

LOL! I dont care how many kicks he's made or how "money" he is. Everytime he (or any other kicker we may have had) steps up to kick i'm nervous. You just never know what might happen? I've been a big Suisham supporter from the beginning, but will always get nervous when it comes to a kick!
