Cut by the Jets in a salary cap move. Normally. I'm not a sign everyone guy, but they really need help on the DL. Call up his agent and get a long term deal done. This just looks like a gift like when the Browns cut Haden.

So, the answer to all our needs is with one game left to sign a Jets washup for a long-term deal. That's a bold move Cotton.

Not for this year. For the future. Who knows if Tuitt ever comes back, they still will need help on the DL next year.

Why?! Sign him and don't play him and then end up cutting him.

Apparently there are posters here who are new to football.

There is going to be an excess of free agents and some teams will have an excess of cap space. No player and no team is going to accept/offer a long term contract to a guy on the street until March 16, 4:00 PM

Shaq has been on 3 different teams since the end of last season. Last yr, Mia traded Shaq and a 6th round pick for an LB and a 7th rounder. And they cut that LB in camp.

He’ll be 28 when the season starts, so he’s not really someone who’s likely “to develop”. You wanna bring him into camp for the league minimum? fine. But a long term answer? No way.

I actually like him... but he is more
4-3 de....6'3" 260ish lbs.... he is more a large OLB in our system

My concern would be another ingram situation next year

He wouldn't play DE for Pittsburgh, he missed the season with an injury.

Save the let's sign everybody in the NFL threads until at least after the SB. We need some breathing room.
