Shamarko to get more snaps over Clark

Which is ironic because Ryan Clark has been the hardest hitter on this team for a while. I really like Sharmarko so I am ready to give this a chance.

 

not really BFT. Thomas has missed a lot of tackles in these first 4 games. I had the opposite thoughts on that part of his game. he needs to quit head down diving at the legs tackling, because guys in this league will make you miss. if your going for legs , you'd better wrap them up. ike missed a big tackle on AP like that too. ike usually wraps up.

 

I'll just throw this out there, just for arguments sake.

Perhaps Clark has lost a step, or perhaps his role has changed in the defense? The last few years Troy has been inconsistent at best (in regards to injury), so Clark wasn't tasked with not only covering his area, but Troy's as well. Maybe Troy being back and perhaps not having the step to get to where he used to be able to is part of the problem?

 

I tend to think of him as a big hitter, but a bit like Troy in his rookies season - a fair amount of misses to go with the big hits.

I said that before. they are both slower than before. so is ike. I think that's part of the guessing. so they can get there a step faster because the legs are not what they used to be. it happens.

I feel like I've seen him in on a large number of tackles and especially on special teams. Tackles are a weird thing to track anyway. When you've got 3 or 4 guys getting a guy wrapped up who do you give the tackle to? I've heard some analysts say that tackles are a meaningless stat for the reason I just said. But I honestly did think he had been in on a number of tackles though.

 

I absolutely HATE this post. Because it's true. It really does happen.

 

I remember watching a programme once talking about recording tackles - and how it can get really political, particularly if a player's contract is dependent on a certain number of tackles of a bonus etc. Can't remember where I saw that, though!

 

So, is this story real about Clark?

Out of all the demotions and signings, I don't hear the Pittsburgh media talking about this one???

And this is Clark's last year no matter how he plays, his age and contract is working against him.
