I got bored and took an early stab at it. Picks are assuming a 10-15 range selection (and subject to change over the course of the year haha).

    1. Cameron Erving (LT) - FLA ST
    2. Darqueze Dennard (CB) - MICH ST
3c. Daniel McCullers (NT) - TENN
    4. CJ Barnett (S) - OHIO ST
4c. Lamin Barrow (ILB) - LSU
    5. Denicos Allen (OLB) - MICH ST
    6. Colt Lyerla (TE) - OREGON
    7. Venric Mark (RB) - N'WESTERN

Would love to hear what you all think. Go Burgh!

I don't know many of players but the positions that you are targeting are in the right place.

Curious as to who you plan to cut in pay or cut outright curently on the roster to get under the salary cap??

What I'm trying to say ... IMO your board looks good if your addressing Troy & Ike's contracts, but leaving Heath's alone. :smiley1:

Yes, Troy and Ike's contracts need to be addressed. It would be nice to work Woodley's too, but we need to figure something out with him because he is killing our cap number and isn't doing sh*t on the field. In terms of our FA pool this year, I'd be interested in trying to re-sign some guys from this group (Cotchery, Velasco, Worilds, Woods, and Hood) Cotch and Velasco should be no-brainers. Worilds will be tough to re-sign, but we should definitely try. Woods is a serviceable back up. We will have to let either Hood or Kiesel walk, and I'd be more comfortable with Hood if we can get him at a reasonable rate (if not Kiesel for 2 years vet minimum). Sly is a possible re-sign because he will be cheap. We can't afford Sanders, Burress and Clark are done, and McBriar, Gordon, Palmer and Whimper are all scrubs.

I don't know what all that would do to our cap number, but that's how I would go about it.

Call me crazy, but I'd be willing to let Pouncey go, if we could resign Valesco, Cotchery, and Sanders for around $7mil total or less. IMO Wheaton hasn't progressed (likely mostly due to injury) as far as he should at this point and since we are starting to show some signs of life on offense, why mess up the consistency we are just starting to see?

IMO also sign Dwyer or Jones at the vet minimum, add a LT (rd#1), a TE (rd#3) and a RB (rd#6) and our offense would look halfway decent again for a change. For those that don't happen to want to take a TE or RB that high, just remember which side of the ball this year's comp picks came from. :smiley1:

Not crazy at all. Gonna have to break the bank for a guy that has had injury issues. We have enough players hitting the tubs for 10+ million. I'd hate to let our best O Lineman walk, but if we invest that money in a LT instead and keep Velasco at center, it wouldn't be a bad idea. I think signing those 3 for around 7 mil a year is doable too. Velasco and Cotch will both have contracts under 2 mil a year, and maybe we can find a way to sign Sanders to a contract around 4 mil a year. Sanders hasn't had a big year though, its mainly been AB and Cotchery who've been having great years... so maybe losing him wont be too bad after all. Who knows?

I like Dwyer over Jones, but that would mean we would be looking for more of a change of pace guy in the draft (like Vernric Mark ). LT is priority number 1 and TE is a big need also. I want a different style of TE to compliment Heath tho. I've been pimping Lyerla for a bit, but I'll take anyone that has freaky athleticism.
