Well this week is the Senior Bowl and I am excited, there are so many players I want to watch. I think we have some really big needs, S & ILB, I also feel TE could be a big concern. It is no secret that this years class of QB's is deep is there a mid round guy that may be groomed for Ben's replacement maybe a guy like White? I think we really need to look at a big NT/DT type player to keep the linemen off out LB's so they can make plays, which I feel is one of our problems vs the run. Some guys I am intrested in watching, feel free to add:

    QB's Falk & White
    All ILB's and Safetys
    WR's Washington & Hamilton(bad shrine game)
TE's Breneman, Thomas(great storyline), Conklin(former basketball player), Goedert, Fumagalli
    RB Penny
    DE/OLB Okoronkwo, Davenport

Griffen is a great story and Savage was on the radio and said there isn't a better player on the practice field and that despite his handicap someone should give this kid a chance.

If anyone is interested on Sirius radio at 3pm the show "movin the chains" has live coverage there all week. PK is awesome to listen to he is my favorite and I know a few here like him as well.

he has 10 INTs through his career at Virginia. 17 PBUs. Compared to 9 INTs and 24 PBUs for Minkah Fitzpatrick. Not comparing the two directly, just an example.

**49 games for Blanding, 42 for Fitz

watts had 10 int. 19 PBU's and better speed. he's the guy i've been hoping we nab.

henderson had 9 int. 13 PBU's and better speed as well. good player probably under the radar since playing for hawaii. keeping an eye on him.

another under rated guy is sean chandler from temple. 10 int. and 23 PBU's. not sure why he didn't get the invite.

also no love for jamar summers from duke. 12 int. 21 PBU's with 4.4 speed.

I haven't watched too much of Watts yet. At least the well is not dry after last years safety class...

Disappointed that Mason rudolph ("injured") and Rashaan Evans (skipping by choice) won' be participating.

Both are options for me at #28

Hey we gave Ike a chance from a smaller school and it paid off.....and this guy still probably has better hand(s).:facepalm: SORRY.....but I did watch his entire game against Auburn and he was a beast...just afraid the NFL is a different animal....can't teach his tenacity but he would be a hard pick to make any earlier than the 4th round,,,,

    Heard them mention

Penn WR Justin Watson 6'3 210.

Probably a mid round pick depending on his 40 is a big Steelers fan and his favorite player is Hines Ward.

Some names to keep an eye on:

    OG Will Hernandez 6'2 340

He is a likely 1st round pick, maybe early 2nd. He would be a complete luxury pick but man is he a nasty Guard.

    OT Brandon Parker 6'8 310

Had reportedly never given up a sack. 35"+ arms and an 85"+ wingspan. Saw him handle both Marcus Davenport and Shaquem Griffin today. Probably a mid round pick but I could see him moving up. Great mobility.

    WR James Washington 5'11 210

Wow, 2" shorter than the 6'1 he was listed at. Total RB build. But he has 34" arms which is insane for his size. I think ultimately goes in round 2.

    CB Levi Wallace 6'0 175

He's a bit slight and a bit slow but I really enjoyed watching him this year. He is lesser known than his 2 Bama teammates Averett and Tony Brown. Wallace had the longest arms of any CB 33"+.

Also keep an eye on the USC and Oklahoma pass rush specialists Nwosu and Orokonwo. Both are of the 62 240 variety and both can get to the QB.

I agree but what a great story and a good locker room guy, heck if we can waste a pick on a LS that we only cut why not this guy?

Washington has a very good bowl game this there was a lot of talk about him here. I think this kid could end up a top 15 with a good game and a good combine. Very hard to make him our 1st rounder with all our needs and he is never going to be there in the 2nd for us, but he is a talented player.

Seattle could be a realistic destination with his brother playing there and knowing him better than anyone. If anyone is gonna take a early chance it's probably them...

That guy Alex Kozora from Steelers Depot does a good job in covering the Senior Bowl from a Steelers perspective.
