Ben never would have lost his cool in that situation like Rudolph did.

I've been to sporting events where there were more people peeing in the sinks than the toilets/urinals.

    Or worse...

I am impressed the blowout was not worse. The defense was winded by the time the Ravens got to them. The Offense did no favors; Mason being out being chief among them.

Keep in mind that, at the closing days of last season, Pittsburghs defense was on the field for over 70 snaps. Keep in mind that 55-65 snaps is the sweet spot for current NFL Defenses. 66 to 69 is pushing it. Anything over 70 is unsustainable.

Pittsburgh was doing that for four weeks leading up to the season showdown. That is unreal. The fact that Baltimore only scored 28 is amazing given the fact that they should have scored more.

I laughed, but I do think Trubisky is better than people make out. Not when he’s asked to throw 40-50 times a game, mind, but a lot of the Bears woes last year fell on Nagy. They’ll be back...

Trubisky is a streaky player, I’ve seen him play great and also be downright awful, sometimes in the same game. He needs to add consistency and they need to let him do more with his feet. He probably needs a good QB coach and a change of scene, same issues as Mariota. I would not give up hope on him at all.

The thing that will follow him around his entire career however is that they traded up for him and left Mahomes and Watson on the board. Any other year he would just be consider a bad pick that didn’t work out, but the thoughts of where they picked him and who else was available is just a killer for Bears fans

I personally don't care if their is football. People are dying. Their is no vaccine, crap testing and only because of social distancing this virus is slowing. People bickering they have to cover their mouth and nose. So to me football is a back burner situation. The draft will be under the new norm. It will be a shame that Goodell will for the first time not be massively booed. The logistics of having players and coaches on both sidelines social distancing would be close to impossible. All in attendance would have to be tested prior to Sunday, providing their is a test that is totally failsafe which their isn't yet. You line up in the trenches and these players are breathing on each other, yea that's going to work.

So it will be wait and see just like I do on a daily basis. It changes every day in the new norm. its about staying alive. Get used to it. Once social distancing is scrapped for profits the spread I believe will accelerate. I do hope not for everyone's sake. I live in a major hot spot for this virus.

Wow ... I didn't know you were old enough to remember pitching quarters? That take me back to shooting marbles and your tricks... lol In today's world ... if its not on a game system ... it doesn't exist anymore.

Ask the Akron Zips how its done for their home games (excluding the band and some parents). They are experts on playing in silence.

I personally believe the virus is blown way out of proportion but I will leave my thoughts as that. Not going to get into further discussion on the subject.

    Hey groutbrook.

I hope all is well in your world and those of your loved ones.

Yeah, I was thinking about that as well. As much as I could care less for any team besides the Steelers, if I remember the video correctly Mason in someway did go after Myles. It comes with maturity and like you stated, I doubt Ben would have let it get to that point. Nonetheless it does not in any way give Myles a free pass on turning the helmet into a weapon. In the end though, Myles cranking Mason on top of his "Dome Piece" was way, way over the line. He could have done some serious damage to Mason, if not killed the guy. Also, from all accounts Myles was looking for a way out by using the name-calling as an excuse. I cannot say for sure what happened there. It would seem from other players' testimonies, that it did not occur. Overall, the whole incident was messy. Let us hope now that it is put behind all parties involved.

Hope the season happens. Why does everyone care so much about the fans in stadiums ? I want to see plays and watch the game.

I Couldn’t care less about some fat drunk guy with a hot dog in his hand screaming in the stands.

    Hey defva.

I hope you and your loved ones are okay. Everyone on my side is well.

Yeah, Man you know how the expression goes: "Those were the good old days". If there was a hustle involved in it, I was usually in the thick of things (smile). I loved Quarter-Pitching. It was my favorite of "Street Games". You could make out very well if you had a good day. I remember my best day like it was yesterday I made over $50. Think about it. Ten players at a time if you win you take in $2.25 per round. We all knew each other, very rarely did any animosity break out. Good fun.

As far as video games, during that time you had to go to the local Hang-Out spots to play the stand-alone games such as the Pizza Place, Bowling Alley, the backroom of the corner Variety Store to play the stand-alone games. Such as: Centipede (my all-time favorite) Pac-Man, Asteroids and I am sure you know the others. Good stuff man. I was thinking about buying one of those Stand-Alone Centipede games for the house. If I am correct my research came up with a price tag of about $400. Not cheap but affordable.

Yeah, I am not into the Game-Systems of today. I am a Computer Teacher but not a fan of all technology. Today's games are very cool though. Online competitions are great. The graphics are incredible, yet still not my thing. However, in big part this is why a lot of Today's Outdoor Parks, Sandlots and makeshift Asphalt-Top playing fields are empty.

I posted below a photo of where I grew up and the Asphalt-Top Playing Field that we used. It is called "Steelwinds Sports Complex East". I have posted it before so you may have seen it. We played everything thing there: Stick-Ball, Soccer, Basketball (There is a portable hoop that you cannot see) Football (Tackle at that). We did wear elbow and knee pads. We were not that crazy. The PE Teacher from the local Elementary School gave us the old Floor Hockey equipment and we played that sport there as well. Great Stuff!

We had an unwritten and informal league of sorts where we would play neighborhood vs. neighborhood. Housing Project vs. Housing Project. We would usually play for $2 a head. If you won you would take your winnings to the local variety store and buy a boatload of candy and stuff. You could get a lot of good junk back then. Often, $1 was enough for round #1. Take care.

Side Note: Hi Everyone, either right-mouse click on the photo to open it up in another window or hit the back arrow on your Browser Page to go back. Otherwise if you "X" out of the window with the photo, it will take you out of the Website altogether. I had figured this out before and must do it again to avoid this issue.

There's no reason Rudolph couldn't track receivers either. We aren't a contender for anything but .500 ball until a few offensive questions get answered. It's okay to wear rose-colored glasses. No harm in being optimistic. But until Ben comes back and proves that his arm is live and will hold up AND the OL returns to form, calling us a SB contender is wishful thinking at best.

    Good thinking.
In stadium situations, I usually just kick the bathroom door open and pee into the room.

    Sidenote:
For years I wanted to believe that 'urinal slide' gif was from Cleveland Stadium, but I thing it was actually Wrigley Field in Chicago.

I get that all humans die but to see it in large numbers is hard as hell to take. I read about the plague in 1350 that killed half of Europe. I just can't imagine stepping over dead bodies. I understand sports and money but I think humans are smart enough to know it will be impossible for any sport to resume until the virus is beat. (at least I think we are smart enough)

OK, so late's take last year's team, with all of its non-QB offensive issues, but add a healthy Ben to the equation. Do you really think it's still a .500 team? Barring injuries, what so you see as being worse with next year's offense than last years?

Hell no, I think they are in the championship game against KC. Not saying they’d win that game but they’re have been there with a healthy Ben and this defense.
