Here it is after the first game talking about the secondary primarily Ike Taylor. Taylors diminishing skills have been evident for some years now. William Gay should be starting. Lucky to get the win. The lack of upgrading the secondary and keeping players (Keenan Lewis) has put this unit behind the 8 ball. Who on here would not like Lewis and Allen starting? And Ike gone. Allen's contract was slightly less then Lewis got. The Steelers retained Ike due to what he did, not what he can do. I have been calling for the secondary to be upgraded for years. It's to late now. Next year is next year. The footprint has been set, no huddle, up tempo puts this D on it's heels. Not just the secondary gets all the blame, the D line's gap work is horrible. Short week against the hated crows. I believe the D will come around, but when the Offense goes flat as it happened yesterday, we saw the results. A win is a win but the short week is not enough time to make adjustments. Let's hope the Offense keeps the foot on the pedal and gets a win against those purple scumbags.

All this talk of keeping Lewis - I thought he was pretty much set on going to NO so he could be near his home area. I seem to recall he basically said he was going there if they wanted him and the Steelers would have had to give him huge money to stop that.

I have been saying that for months. Why every team does not game plan to throw to his side on every single play is beyond me. I was hoping that during halftime, our coaching staff would take note that the Browns were starting to throw that way and get Ike some safety help. Nope.
