Love the optimism, but with that being said I am predicting year that sees us at 7-9.... Lemme explain- love the potential on offense, BUT this D still has me overly concerned. If we don't generate a pass rush we are in BIG trouble. Ike has NO business being a starter at this point, and I've always like the guy, but it's not like he found his "lost step" in the offseason. Our DBs aside from the deep of MM and TP are very worrisome, and I feel that may get us this year? Now, IF we get. Pass rush I'm saying 10-6, so to me, it's on the shoulder of JJ JW BK ST CH and of course RS. Notice I left off Cam as I don't think he will start past week 4......

You have us losing the home opener against the Browns. Which of the nine are we winning . If we cant beat the browns we should just pack it up and go home

I think we need to see at least one game in order to determine Ike as a starter lol. He was injured last year which could account for his sub standard play

I also have them starting 4-0, the opposite of last season.

We HAVE to atleast start out at 6-2. We have a really easy schedule to begin the season. We really need to win atleast 6 of those first 8 games.

How fortunate to play our hardest opponent, the Saints, @ home and after a bye week. If we don't get those 6 wins, then I may have some doubts on our playoff chances this season.

With the schedule, I like our chances also to go 11-5.

We've added, but we also subtracted ... end result 8-8 yet again, and I hope like hell that ends up costing both Tomlin and Colbert their jobs, though I doubt it will this year.

I predict we win every game that we score more points than our opponents do...
And lose every one we score less...
And my crystal ball says that will get us our 7th Lombardi!!!;):herewego!:
Seriously folks... IMHO... It all comes down to injuries, turnovers, and penalties...
Some of it can be attributed to "luck", some can be "preparation", and lots of other variables...
    We have a decent team.
Probably not the best in the league, but certainly not the worst!
We have a pretty damn good qb, and as long as we can avoid injuries, turnovers, and shooting ourselves in the foot- type penalties, we have as good of a chance as anyone else, of bringing home the trophy, at the end of the year!!!
And better chances than a LOT of teams!!!
    GO STEELERS!!!:yeehaw:

I think 11-5 is realistic, but in the upper end of the range of realistic outcomes. I wouldn't be surprised by anything in the range of 7-9 to 12-4. My "official" prediction at this point is 10-6. That would either get us the AFC North title or a wild card berth.

I thought the same thing. I guess one might not be as optimistic as say we all were in 2005 or 2008. But I'm still excited to see the Steelers go out and win some games!

We kids at home played with the crazy 8 for many yrs. I always thought the thing was broke cause i never got the answer i was looking for. Heck we couldn't even get our heads to spin a 360 or get the beds to levitate. :lolol: I never compared it to a ouija board which was forbidden in our home. Ok back to the subject at hand.

11-5 but disagree with the OP, arrow is pointing up. Next draft they will sure up the secondary and maybe a top LT depending on Beachums progress and grab a TE to succeed Heath. Pick up some depth for other positions and 2015 is looking good to me.

Please don't talk about Heath's successor. It only serves to remind me that someday old 83 won't be around. LOL. (but actually misting up)

deljzc, this isn't a jab at you for being a pessimist, it's an honest question... Do you remember your predictions for the 2005 and 2008 and 2010 seasons? I'm curious.
