I watched how KC covered Gronk and did a good job containing him. Yes, they held him and abused him and had some call against them but they sure kept him contained. why can't davis look at the film and see what works. is it time to replace davis?

Davis, Davis, Davis... he's proven in several games that he's the weakest link in the defense

Who are you going to use to replace him? They don't have a better option. Also, he's not Eric Berry. Not many NFL safeties are at that level and the list of ones that can handle Gronkowski man-to-man is very, very short.

Bill Cowher called Sean Davis a pro-bowl caliber safety in the pre-game show.

Not sure if Davis paid for that sponsorship or what.

Not to get all over Davis, but Gronk does what he does to many teams.

Davis was playing very well until the last couple of games, but man has he ever been awful in those two games.

He may be ruined for life after that 4th qtr. He may never be the same mentally. In the biggest game of the year he was pitiful.

He very nearly lost the game single-handedly.

First he dropped the game winning INT. Then as an encore he gave up back to back to back completions to Gronk for 75 yards. And for his grand finale he also gave up the 2-pointer.

His ineptitude has been lost in all the talk of the screwing the refs gave us and the idiotic fake spike. If Juju doesn't run for 70 yards after the catch, Sean Davis is all everybody would be talking about today.

Gronk has made a lot of DB's looked pedestrian over the years, that's why he's the best TE in the game. I was surprised Brady didn't go to him more in the first half.

He didn't go to him because of pressure!

They let the Pats hold on the game-winning drive. He should have been sacked on one of those completions to Gronk, but the DE was being bear hugged and unable to get his arms out to grab Brady!

You're probably right, but I try not to get wrapped up on the officiating on every play, it's too frustrating and becomes my only focus. Same with watching Dupree get owned on every play earlier in the season, I don't even look for him anymore.

I was just listening to a podcast and they made a valid point. When AB does his thing and wins a game for us or puts us in position to win we call him the best. He’s unstoppable etc etc etc. Why? Because he’s the best wide receiver in the game. The exact same thing can be said about gronk. He’s arguably the best tight end to ever play the game. But steeler fans choose to blame the coaches, the defenders suck etc. One day Steelers fans really have to acknowledge that Gronk is really just that good. He’s essentially their AB.

On a few of the plays to Gronk Davis was right on his hip and Brady drops a rainbow over top of 6 ft 7 in Gronk.

How do you defend that, when the ball goes over Davis it is 4 feet above him maybe more. On the seem routes if you try and chuck him at the line he shoves you to the right and cuts left instantly you are in chase mode, result easy completion.

On the catch Gronk made at ankle height it was a poor throw and a great catch, what pissed me off was the replay clearly shows Heyward being held in a bearhug.

The only way to stop it is more consistent pressure on Brady.

Davis is fine. Gronk is just as good as advertised. You have to double him and make the other players on the field beat you.

That's the play I was screaming at the TV over!

It couldn't have been more obvious! Brady actually bounced off the Tackle that had him hugged and then made that throw!

I expected him to obviously be the next "Troy Polamalu" to be honest with you.

I wouldn't hate on Davis I agree with Cowher, he'll be a good one.

They were asking a 2nd year guy who hardly ever covers man on man to do that against one of the best TE's In the game?!. Hating on Davis is protecting the idiots who put him in that situation in the first place. Hi Tomlin

As for the missed INT ..that was a tough one...one sec he's going full out in protection ..then he has to stop dead ..slow the brain down to catch a knuckle ball.. It might have looked easy especially in slow mo but it wasn't.

How many easy INT's did ike " rubber hands" Taylor miss out on?

Buddy Troy in his prime would have had issues with securing that pick. His momentum was taking him away from the ball which was tipped and traveling away from him.

Disagree. I'm not saying it was easy, but when it hits you in both hands you have to catch it.

    Lets be honest

#1 Gronk is awesome. Best TE in football.

#2 Davis sucks. He's not been good for most of the season. Opponents are purposefully targeting him. Why would you suppose that is? Don't believe me? Look at his tackle totals. Those aint "stopping the run" tackles like Troy P used to pile up.
