Doubt it. Winning cures everything. It would probably sting a lot more if they sucked, but when you win the SB and you're the favourite to win it again, these things tend not to hurt nearly as much

You don't think Seattle cares about it's future, doubt it. Had we done that, SB or not, we'd be the dumbest organization ever around here.

You just don't throw away money and draft picks and not care about it.

Did he help them win the SB? His contributions were about the same as Sanders was for us last year, less even, I think Sanders had more TD's.

It's not like Harvin was instrumental in them getting to the SB and wining it, he was barely a factor. They gave away 3 picks and 20 mill for nothing.

He helped immensely in the actual game itself. That's why I was saying they might have considered him worth it. That Super Bowl was probably the game of his life. They would have won without him but he did play really good in that game.

That's where I think they will really feel bad. It is because in the future it is gonna cost them. I think the salary cap is gonna actually be what hurts that team when it's all said and done. They are just too stacked to afford everybody if nobody wants to play for less than what they are worth. I personally felt like they should have kept Golden Tate but the way they've drafted lately I give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they know what they're doing.

How so? Because if the kickoff return? It was already 22-0 by the time he did that. I wouldn't say immensely at all, his absence from the game would have meant nothing. He had 1 reception for 5 yards plus two carries for 45 yards.

Seattle would still be SB champs had they never traded for him and that is why the deal was not worth it.

Here they go playing with the monopoly money,
Harvin must have been a real ass hole. Go from the penthouse to the out house. And I think I have made mistakes. LOL

Amazing... The Jets are 1-6, so they trade away future picks for a "now" player even though they're already just about mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. Brilliant!!

They've taken a page from the Yankees and Rays...........or the Redskins. Trying to buy a championship.

The Rays??? Most of their team comes up through the farm.

Yankees and Redskins, definitely load up on FA's

I don't much care for baseball so maybe I'm thinking of the wrong team. Didn't Tampa buy a bunch of high dollar players, win the series and then have a fire sale the next season? Or was that AZ?

let's put it in perspective...... harvin missed most of the regular season last yr., so the seahawks made it to the bowl basically without him, and the way the defense beat up on Denver, there was no way that harvin's presence or his big play made any real difference in the outcome

I remember saying how bad a trade it was to get Harvin in the first place. Seahawks "fans" told me I was an idiot and that Harvin is special etc.

You can't even call Harvin a return specialist because he only returns punts. I am sure he refused to return kicks- Earl Thomas started this season as the PR. Of course, Seahawks "fans" said Carrol is a genius and ETIII should return kicks regardless of the possibility of injury and that Harvin was unable to return kicks etc. Two muffed returns later...

Bottom line is Harvin won't settle for anything less than being the number one wideout when he should be the slot receiver and return specialist. Thats a huge attitude and salary for a slot receiver evn if he is probably the best return man in the NFL now.
