Here, let me answer that for you.

    HAHAHAHA

They just got finished (maybe? still to come?) refusing to pay that fat rapper RB > $14mil/year - and anyone thinks they are eating $21mil... for nothing? Riiiight.

It's cap space not real money. That space is used next year whether he's here or not. What if he gets a season ending injury in camp? IMO that's worse. He still counts towards the cap.

For the record the Steelers did offer the Rapper 70 mil the problem with mr puff a lot wasn't the size of the contract but the amount that was guaranteed supporting my point on how ownership is not gonna throw money away without return on their investment!

The NFL should change the cap rules so it is possible for the "buying" team to transfer the cap hit to them from the "seller" team as a part of the deal IF THEY CHOOSE to lessen the cap hit obstacle for making trades for players such as Brown.

If they cut or trade him his cap hit is about 21 million. Unless he’s still owed some amount of guaranteed money it’s not like he’s walking out the door with a check for 21 million. That $21 million It happens whether he’s here or not the Steeler still have to absorb that Hit. My point is he still tradable regardless.

AB will end up on the Patriots. Patriots will trade us their 1st round pick for him. Brady wins #7 next year with AB.

No AB got that money last year if we trade him we are paying him this year to play for someone else in the mean time taking up space on our cap so we couldn't bring in a guy if we wanted to. Yeah it is counting only cause we paid him last year for next year.......anyone is tradable but it will cost 21 mil sorry that ain't happening.

Oh really? AB causes trouble when he “only” gets 10-15 targets in a game. How long will it be before he blows up with a QB that spreads it around like Brady?

    Why the 49ers?
Is that where leaveon plans on signing?
    I don't get it, they're horrible.

Edit: wants to be a gold miner of NFL salary caps?

yeah I dont think he cares. AB cares about his image and his stats more then the team. He is a diva and causes alot of unnecessary trouble. He can go and I wont miss him. The team will be worse without him but sometimes you had to take a hard stance and clean house.

I do want to deal him, he has quit on team twice now, let somebody else deal with his childish behavior.

So if we trade AB we actually save 1 million as opposed to keeping him. 22 million to keep him and 21 to trade him.

Well, I'm by no means a cap expert, but the reports I've read is that the dead money is 21m, but we wouldn't be on the hook for his 15m salary, so net 6m..... let's not forget we get the 14m cap bonus that LB surrendered by not playing..... so the net net might be additional cap space of 8m after AB and LB were to leave? The bigger issue is making up for the on-the-field production loss.

In the end.... I think he gets a tongue lashing and remains a Steeler.

To the OP, Steeler 1031, I think you got your answer - this collective MB seems incapable of the concept to "have fun". Isn't it odd that the year the Steelers finally figure out how to beat Pats/Bill/Marsha, there's more misery around here than in eons. Guess that means that "embarrassing losses of 4 of the last 6 games means nothing, if that span doesn't include another embarrassing loss to NE".
