    Who?

Really hope Khan has something up his sleeve and not just throwing a bunch of mid players against the wall to see which one sticks.

Wilson better not disappoint. Putting a lot of pressure on a rookie.

Guy is a 1,000 yard WR. That is, he's just over that number in five seasons total. Sh1t signing.

Training camp help. Familiar a little with Smith's offense.
Maybe he takes laundry to the washroom.

    Agreed, I don't see this as they're hoping he can be a #2, #3

Miller is mainly a slot option, of which we don't necessarily have outside of Wilson. Miller, Watkins, Austin, Jefferson, Fitzpatrick, Mims, and Callaway may very well be fighting for 2-3 spots, of which I am sure starting gunner is going to play a large part of. We have a lot of "Arthur Smith" guys available, I guess we will see who actually sticks.

TBH I still think that we are going to make a trade for a WR. We have the cap available, its just figuring out which WR makes the most sense and can be had at the best cost.

I don’t think $ is the hold up in finding a WR, I think its the draft capital teams are asking for.

Money kept them from getting a decent free agent, and now the market is almost entirely bare.

No it didn’t, they just didn’t like them. It’s not like it was a lot of money.

They didn't like them at that price, hence my theory that Khan is trying too hard to make every deal a bargain.

Boyd would have been signing someone for the sake of signing someone. I have to believe they will still end up making a trade for a WR. They freed up money for a reason.

That is what I meant, cost in capital... though I probably didn't word it the best way. We're definitely looking at trading for a #2 now that the market is bare. Still lots of time before camp, and it is definitely too early to start worrying about how the WR room looks... even if it looks really bad as it stands.

Boyd would have been an upgrade over everyone they have after Pickens except maybe Wilson, and that's far from a guarantee.

When I heard the name, I thought "Didn't he used to be a 3rd String QB here, years ago?". I was confusing him with the amalgam of Jim Miller and Scotty Campbell. I don't know that he's any great shakes as WR, but he might be as good a QB as those 2.

It is an art form to build the right chemistry.
I think back to Dick Vermeil acting as both coach and GM and how he transformed that team by blending talent and coaching to form "The Greatest Show on Turf."
    Lynch/Shanahan are something else too.
Gibbs/Casserly/Bethard were as great as they come..
    As others...

Would love to see Omar/Tomlinson join those ranks.

I myself thought we had resigned Anthony Miller. I read earlier in the week that Anthony Miller was just released by the Chiefs.

Back in 2021 I was hoping for big things from Miller, and sadly he only played in 1 game that season for Pittsburgh. Yet he became another BEARS flop here in Pittsburgh.

I forgot Miller played for Tampa. He had a decent season in 2020, 500 yards, 3 TD’s. I think that may have been the season Tampa had a bunch of injuries at WR. Of course he had Brady throwing to him, helps.

Nobody is panicking, but what they have done at the position so far is a failure that could severely limit the offense in 2024. If they are counting on a Joe Haden situation, that would also be foolish. You have to be ready to grab such opportunities, but counting on them is a mistake.
