Global warming. Yes it's happening. Scientist's name escapes me but he was instrumental in probably saving millions of people from cancer. He proved to the Gas and Oil industry that leaded gas had to go. They fought him hard but the proof was in the ice cores they drilled for. If we still used leaded gasoline it would not be pretty. This same scientist along with a few others believe it's to late. We have already clogged up the atmosphere to the point where the heat of the sun has trouble escaping thus warming our planet. See Venus, same thing only a lot worse and they don't have cars. Hot chicks from what I understand;)

That said I'll be long gone before where I live is under water and believe me it is happening in my community. We have to keep replenishing the beach with sand or we lose our tourist. It is pretty cool to watch. They stick big ass pipes in the ocean that suck up the sand and spray it all over the beach. Some of our smaller beaches are lost and to expensive to bring them back.

Good luck to the young, it may be a bumpy ride.

Actually, when they started taking lead out of gasoline it wasn't to combat global warming. It was to fight off global cooling. The theory back then was our pollutants was blocking out the sun's warmth. Most scientists warned we were headed for an ice age.

I was young and foolish back then and believed it. Now I'm old and foolish, but not so foolish as to believe anything the so called experts tell us. I've found that 9 out of 10 scientists agree with whoever is funding their studies.

Your argument against the science is foolish. You’re basically saying follow the money. Go ahead and follow it. Who is really making money the scientists getting a grant or companies like Exxon? Back in the 70’s Exxon mobile researched global warming and the contributions to it by fossil fuels. Their findings mirrored government scientists, but Exxon decided to fight to deny it. Why? Money. Billions if not trillions of dollars which is far more than any scientist is making. They even used the same marketing company that pushed the tobacco companies claims that cigarettes were perfectly healthy

The last guy that I did some work for, (Oct. '23-Jan. '24) has a sand business in FL. where, among other things, they do beach restoration. The beach erosion here on the west coast is mostly due to poorly designed and built jetties and harbor entrances.
Here's another theory on why the sea level's are rising.......think of the experiment where you keep adding toy boats to the water in a tub.

I bought into that theory too. I was 12 when they did the first Earth Day. We rode bikes from Ocean Beach to Torrey Pines and back, roughly 30 miles, and were encouraged to block auto traffic. The theory was that the cars' exhaust was causing smog that would block out the sun and cause another ice age! Of course, they were 100% correct!

    Cool research. Keep it up.

I guess if there is one thing I am leery about on this subject, it’s treating a gravity well as a simple whirlpool by comparison. I know we have no way to actually recreate such a small scale black hole for study. But a whirlpool still uses current flow to direct objects downward. A gravity well is pulling from each individual point on a sphere.

A belief in multiple dimensions and planes of existence? That can be a very interesting topic to discuss. Historically, there are countless accounts of people being possessed by other entities. Both religious and secular. People able to do one-off amazing feats of strength and such as well. It's a rabbit hole worthy of exploration.
