    Hey Everyone.

I have always been curious, that on occasion, why do the schedule makers set it for divisional rivals to play their second regular season game just weeks apart? Obviously, this is about to happen again with the Browns. Take care all.

I don't think they do it on purpose. With 32 teams there's only so many combinations, it's bound to happen.

Back when so many stadiums were shared with baseball teams I could understand the greater scheduling conflicts. I do not know how much planning is made with other sports (nba, nhl, mlb, conventions) that affect scheduling to avoid logistical nightmares in cities, but I thought the same as you, odd to have this happen.

In the early part of the season they do try to avoid baseball game conflicts.

That makes sense. I know Pitt and even some HS play off games use Heinz, but that is more a nightmare for field conditions (especially in Nov and Dec). For smaller cities I would think having 2 pro events in the same time period could create logistical problems (security, traffic), as well as even trying to fill both venues. As for larger cities like NY, LA, or Chicago who gives a rip (especially NYC), all their teams suck anyway. Anyone paying full price to see the Jets, Giants, or Knicks needs their head examined. lol

Think about just about scheduling the Jets and Giants, they play in the same stadium.

Think about trying to sell tickets when they play each other...how embarrassing is that! And soon to follow in LA with the Rams and Chargers lol.
