The good news is that they could be 7-0 going into that game. Not that there aren't any difficult ones before it, but I would expect them to be able to win any/all of those games.

I think he meant the first game against the Ravens.

The NFL.com analysis: "The NFL is preparing for a possible 2012 downturn in Steeltown."

What drug are they snorting??!! The Steelers will hit this schedule reloaded and PREpared. Bring on Denver!

Also - nice to know they are keeping the tradition alive of the Steelers trouncing the Browns to close out the season.

IMO - if Ben stays healthy and upright on offense and Woodley/Harrison stay healthy and non-suspended - the NFL could be in for a rude awakening when it comes to a potential "downturn".

I think this schedule is not bad. I see 4 loses at the time. denver, balt (away), giants and we always have at least one stinker. I hope just one stinker anyway

9-7?? Really? I think they'll be 7-0 by the time they get the Giants. You think they're only winning 2 games in the 2nd half?

At first, I hated that sked. The more I look at it tho, other than the complete BS bye week after 3 games, it doesn't look too bad. I do NOT like having to play Baltimore twice in 3 weeks at all, OR coming off a Monday nighter on a short week. 3 or the last 4 at home is sweet!!

NFL preparing for a Steeler downturn? I wonder if the NFL.com "analyst" thinks that the NFL always schedules 5 prime time games for teams that they expect to suffer a downturn...

Alright - I see what you're predicting, but I personally think this schedule sets the Steelers up for a potential strong start. I don't think a healthy Steelers will lose to the Broncos in Week 1. Titans may be tough, but I think it is winable. At Bengals - the Kitty-Cats are an up and down team and this is a down year - Win 2 against them. Loss to the Giants - very predictable. Split with the Ravens - understandable. Loss to the Cowboys? I don't think so. 14-2 is very possible. 12-4 is probably closer with 11-5 being my WORST scenario.

Of course, it could go your way too. I just think the Steelers are going to be much stronger this year than many think.

Baltimore twice in 3 weeks? Wtf? Last year we had Cincy twice in 3 weeks, with one as a bye. Is this happening all over the league? I think playing the same team twice with only two teams in between is pushing it, but this is just too close.

Actually, it doesn't really matter I guess. It's just weird to me.

I hate early bye weeks too. Seems like we used to ALWAYS get them, back in the Cowher days. But last year we had one in week 11, which is perfect. Didn't do us any good though... Better finish top 2 in the AFC!

Also, is it me or do we finish against the Browns a whole lot?

Ha, it sure feels that way. Including next season, it will be five times since 2000. '01, '08, '10, '11, and '12.
