Looks like the Jets are falling apart and becoming the old Jets from 4-5 years ago. Maybe last year was their best chance at the SB?

No shi*. Jets need to win to get into the playoffs and you as Head Coach don't know why your star WR isn't in the game? Wow. :hmmm:

This just makes me sad. Holmes had so much potential.

Everyone has a bad day emotionally. But a professional doesn't do these kinds of things.

Just because someone is a pro athlete doesn't mean they are immune to having bad days.

I asked this question once, but seriously, how many "Stars" at the time they left the Steelers actually continued to be stars elsewhere?

People like Eric Green, Bam Morris, BArry Foster, Lloyd, Joey Proter, Holmes, Burress, etc. They all saw their best in a Steeler uniform, and then self destructed elsewhere.

Heck, Thigpen had 2 1300 yard seasons, then left and bombed.

Has anyone gone on to be a superstar, who we wish we had kept?

John Kuhn is more of a fan favorite than any kind of star. As much as it pains me I would have to say Mike Vrabel had a pretty good career after we dropped him.

Ordinarily, I'd agree with you, however that "bit*h" caught a game winning Superbowl pass for us and so it always sucks to see his talents wasted.

Woodson is the only significant one that I can think of.

Good call on Chad Brown. But as for Woodson did spend 10 years here and had over half his Int's with us. Would have been nice to see him retire here, but it's not like we gave up on him, then he sprouted somewhere else. He was good with us and without us. I don't really feel like we "lost a good one" there, more like calling it a wash.

Hardy Nickerson was a beast in TB after he left us too.

And actually, nate Washington is doing well in Tenn. Not a #1 type of guy but he turned into a real solid dependable receiver.

Everybody has bad days. Adversity doesn't build character it reveals it. And we all know that Santonio is an athlete but as RayD said he's not a professional.

He has a lot of potential but as the old cliche goes - potential is what gets coaches fired.

Porter had 14 sacks the second year in Miami but as in most cases his replacement was a as good or better for less money than it would have taken to keep Porter.
