Well I blame Tomlin for the water boy not getting water to players fast enough... he wasn’t prepared

 

Yes. Who held Ben out of another preseason? Who didn't get him prepared? Yes, Ben deserves a lot of blame, but so does Tomlin. This isn't an abberation or coincidence anymore. Even the most diehard Tomlin defenders cannot ignore his teams constantly underperform against bad teams. I'm sick of the Tomlin defenders protecting him from this.

 

I like Tomlin but as I said before, he gives the players too much leeway.

Yeah, because Tomlin forcing the Big Drama Queen to play more than he wants in the preseason would have gone over swimmingly. People need to get their heads out of their asses and stop blaming the head coach when the moronic franchise QB plays horribly.

 

Wait a minute. If I understand you correctly, you want the COACH to give in to a PLAYER. Then why do we even need a coach? Just let the players do whatever they want.

This how it is. Ben is a big oaf. Too slow to play pre season so he passed on it. Takes him 2 or 3 games to get it together. Then team has to adjust. Brady wins division again and Ben looks on to what could have been

 

By the by, we are tied for last in the division.

 

Plus the weather. Which probably informed 3.

 

I mean, they basically got rid of Hailey because of Ben. I thought that made it pretty clear who was in charge.

 

So that’s 11 turnovers in the last 2 Steelers games?

 

Let's look at those turnovers a little closer.... James lets easy catch bounce off hands, Ben gets clobbered while dropping back and throwing, horrible snap into Ben's feet, and Brown running the wrong route. Yea looks pretty clear to me that we're looking at a team that was not prepared to play. Oh did I mention the double digit penalties for 100+ yards?

We are talking about the Browns here. That was not a different Browns team. That was a BAD team. They will be lucky to win 6 games all season - period. The defense played solid ball IMO... the offense was out of sync and played like crap. Not just Ben. If it's one fluke game sure...but this is not uncommon for Tomlin's teams to lose to really bad teams...this is a consistent issue.. we have an absurdly bad record against bad teams. You can't deny that it's a fact. And if you want to play the card that we don't have good players... please let me swallow my beer first so I don't spit it all over my key board laughing.

 

They 'only' had 2 in the playoff game, Ben pick and Ben fumble (I think).

 

We will beat KC next week and one game does not a season make.

Still, there's something I can't quite put my finger on in the Tomlin era. I think it's discipline, a lack thereof
