I hope we keep JuJu. I don't expect him to be one of the best in the league but I like what he has brought to the table so far. I like Washington too, see a little Hines in him..

Switz is a team first player, does his job. Maybe he rubs off on the new talent.

I can't believe there is a roster spot opening for him?

UDFA Duck looking like a lock. Who did we pass on in that 3rd round?

Ironically the Ravens picked a pro bowl RT Orlando Brown and a pro bowl TE Mark Andrews in that same round after Mason was selected. They had a stunning draft that year, picking Lamar as well.

Too early to give up on Mason of course, but you’d be hoping for more at this stage.

This; doubly so for Orlando Brown Jr.

Oddly enough, given what Pittsburghs draft strategy is, one would assume that Orlando Brown Jr. would have been on their radar. Power Five Program, family bloodlines and was within the age range of 21 to 23; him being 22 at the time. Truly odd for certain.

I suppose the major aspect that scared the Steelers off was him being a Senior. That said, Pittsburgh did not have him for a private workout despite the fact that Randy Fitchner was in attendance. Even with a poor performance, Orlando Brown could still play.

All that said, I also have not given up on Mason. Reports were coming out that he looked more sharp than he was in his second year of Training Camp. We should have our answer by the time the 2021 NFL Draft rolls around if he is the future.

They picked Chuks instead, his story has not been written yet, but at the moment you’d have to say Orlando Brown would have been an excellent pick if they hadn’t gone after Mason. Michael Gallop was also on the board iirc, another star in the making but they had taken Washington in the previous round.

By all accounts Mason looked better in camp, certainly not giving up on him but if he ends up playing again for a while this year he needs to show us something or you’d really have to fear for him.

Regarding Chuks, I agree. I was much higher on Chuks than the other Tier 2 Tackles of that class. I initially thought he would be going in the top 50. I am glad he did not. That said, I wonder if Chuks can play Guard?!?!

Would be nice but I would not be surprised if he does not.

Orlando Brown completely tanked his combine. Some have called it the worse performance ever and it would have been a risk for any team to choose him. Possible that there was a gentleman agreement between him and the Ravens due to his dad being an ex-Ravens

Hmm... you could be right. Zeus did play for the Ravens. Within that same token, neither Tomlin or Colbert were at Oklahomas Pro Day; only Fichtner. That plays a big role in whether or not a player gets drafted or later could be acquired by the team.

    Minkah is a prime example.

Do we know if he turned down a PS spot with the Steelers?

If he did, his pride really bit him in the ass.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. 2 seasons removed from being the best slot receiver in the game, he is now on the stains' ps.

(add as much green as you like)
