I was hoping that the Steelers would trade their 6th round pick to the Ravens, and make Flacco the back up quarterback.

How old is he? I would take him as a backup but i guess he would be expensive

I wanted Fitz as our backup when he left Cincinnati. I would LOVE to have him as our backup, but he will be one of those guys who goes somewhere to be a one year starter and mentor a young draftee - or he'll be a $3+ million/year backup like Matt Moore or Kyle Orton. However, he would certainly be worth reaching out to.

There's nobody to waive. We only have Ben and J.P Wilson. Batch and Lefty are free agents, and you want to go into camp with at least 4 QBs on the roster.

While I would love to have Fitzpatrick as Ben's back up there is no chance of that happening. He will be going to some team where he has a chance to compete for the starter position.

Honestly, it would probably be a very good fit for him.

I was thinking when I saw this that he would make a good backup. I'm still on the Colt McCoy bandwagon though but apparently he's competing for the starting job in Cleveland. I believe he gets like $1.3 million a year or something right now.

Colt's got heart, but no thanks. James Harrison gave him PTSD with that headshot. I live in the Browns local market (unfortunately!), and that guy makes 2 good plays and 8-10 bad ones. He looks like he's running for his life. He can't make all the throws consistently that he needs to make. He's almost done.

For more of this type pain, just browse the Cleveland.com sports section.
