I had no problem with what he said. Florio is a biased, tabloid pedaling idiot. If I ever had the displeasure of meeting him, I'd tell him to his tiny face.

Best part of the article is the My Cousin Vinny reference.

Two things come to mind though here.

    1) Where does all the money go? It seems as though, Gooddell has a swiss bank account somewhere cause he sure likes players and coaches to pay up every week.

    2) When will Tomlin appeal the fine?

    Aye, me neither.

The article itself is pretty much nonsense, for me, in general.

What he said yesterday was even better. He said, It's in the NFLs hands and there's no tape to be burned. So a decision should come quick. Or something to that effect. Now that's funny.

Why should Ryan Clark STFU? I am glad somebody has the balls to say something. WTF is everybody supposed to be afraid of Adolf Goodell because he runs the league like a dictator?

I don't think Ryan Clark went far enough.

The fact that Goodell is even considering taking a pick away from the Steelers (or moving the order of picks) tells you all you need to know about Goodell and his blatant favoritism for some teams and players and general hatred and vendetta against others.

In what universe does this warrant that level of penalty? I shouldn't be surprised knowing who we're dealing with. But if even the biggest Steeler hater thinks this is fair, they have a screw loose.

Goodell is the single worst thing to ever happen to this league. Oh, I'm sure the coffers are full. But we fans are becoming more and more dissatisfied. It's only a matter of time before we just don't care anymore. By then, it'll be too late.

Oh, but get caught cheating. Have mountains of evidence that it was a long term thing that could have helped you gain 3 Lombardies, and we'll sweep it under the rug and destroy all evidence. Yeah, they got hit hard by sanctions. Not hard enough. Destroying the evidence indicates it was worse than they wanted us to know.

I don't get it either! Ryan Clark was the team's representative during the CBA agreements and was the only one speaking out about the concessions in the agreement! I think he's spot on here! So, what they're sayig is that a draft pick loss is on the table for any sideline infraction here on out? That could get real interesting after the season!

Couple that with no comments on the spearing that occurred in the same game, it makes you wonder. I guess this is more of a player safety issue!

I believe Ryan Clark has the right to speak. I wish the Rooney's would come out and speak about this. Goodell has gone too far. He should have never penalized Ben, but Ben and the Steelers took it, to avoid controversy. Taking away a draft pick hurts the team, the fans, and more. The fine was enough. To improve Baltimore's draft doesn't just hurt Pittsburgh, it hurts all of the teams in the league. Likely, there will be no penalty to Baltimore when the leave that wretched town in the middle of the night, just because.

TRUTH!! Great post, especially the last part. I will never let that go ,it was and still is and forever will be, a travesty in my mind. I have a hard time believing there will ever be a more blatant and controversial scenario than Spygate. Yeah! There was nothing on the tapes... and the earth is flat after all.

Aint that the truth. Florio is a thin skinned trash peddling hack. His site is the national enquirer of the NFL. I told him as much by email after he kept deleting my posts defending the Steelers and he banned me for good. Football would be better off with out him.

You are right on with this post. Goodell is ruining the game and the league. After what he did with Ben, I stopped watching any of the other games besides Steelers games. And I don't buy anything NFL related. Not that they care, I'm just one person. But now I know there are others out there who think the same. The game is changing so much that it's gonna be safetied and politically corrected right out of existence.

I'm still trying to think how they can justify swapping picks or taking a pick away. What's the reasoning they're looking at? Influencing tiebreakers? Why the swap then? Do they figure out that Pittsburgh did worse during the season due to this infraction and swap picks? Doesn't make sense to me and it seems like only the die-hard haters out there agree with this.
