The Steelers need to stop waiting for that flake Rodgers to make a decision and re-sign Wilson. He could be effective throwing those moon balls to Metcalf and Pickens. If Wilson and Arthur Smith had problems at the end of last season, then work it out and get a deal done.

At this point you might as well. That said, is Russell even going to entertain that idea himself?! Who's to say he won't retire like Rodgers could?!

Either way, if he does or doesn't, 2026 is looking to be more and more important. That said, I wouldn't place all my eggs in the QB Class for next season if I am Pittsburgh. Nussimeier, Allar, Nico and Arch all could opt to return to school for 2027 as opposed to declare for 2026.

If anything, I anticipate both Arch and Nico to do so anyways.

    It is a tough conundrum.
But I think they have Mason in the Wilson role right now.
I think they go with Mason starting, who also throws a nice long pass and look at the draft.(Dart)
Rogers could change that picture as they may opt to stick with Rogers and Mason and go big in 26.

I did hear that Rogers is expected to make a decision soon.
I really don't fault him for not rushing into things... though the dark room things was a bit strange.

I hope Rodgers goes to the Giants... Wilson back with Steelers. Best case scenario for '25 is Wilson, Rudolph, Allen or draft pick.

Wilson is not in their plans. They even chose Fields over him this time.

    It’s Rodgers or Rudolph.

Wild card being if they pull off a trade for someone like Milton but there was an article out saying a development has made that very unlikely. Didnt read the article so don’t know the specifics.

I’ve tried to think who else might be out there for a trade. Purdy has been discussed. Herbert is unrealistic. Richardson, no thanks. JJ but Vikes said they aren’t taking calls. Not a whole lot of options.

Rodgers or Rudolph and draft pick seems like the course.

We will see if that's actually the case once Rodgers makes a decision, I don't see them wanting to go into next season with Mason as their #1 QB.

A Milton trade would be interesting, if you could land him with a 4 or 5, he only played a couple of times, but played well. The window is shorter, but he is more polished than any rookie we could get this year, so it might work out better than throwing a pick into the wind. Any long term options seem unrealistic till the 26 draft. The Pats are really in a good place here, Maye looked good, keep Milton as a B/U, draft to build around them, if Maye develops you can trade Milton next year.

I have read a few reports that Derek Carr might not be happy with the Saints. Might be a chance that he becomes available.

I would take Derek Carr over Rogers. I don't like Rogers age and he is too much a flake.

I think if Rodgers and Wilson both go elsewhere that the Steelers then go out and sign either Flacco or Winston. They can't possibly go into the season with a QB room of Rudolph, Thompson and a rookie.

That would be OK if you were planning on tanking and getting a top 5 draft pick but if they actually plan on winning some games then they are going into the season with the leagues worst QB room.

Who said they are waiting on Rodgers? They gave him an offer. They are moving on with the rest of their offseason business. The only ones waiting are media and fans.

And do you really want to bring back a QB that had problems with his OC? Help it make sense.

Ok. I just don't think this rookie class is as bad as the media is selling it. I think there are 6-8 QBs in this draft that could come in as starter or be starting ready by week 10. That's my opinion and it's s lonely one.

I absolutely do believe they are waiting Rogers out, it falls right into the way they always play these things.

But there are some interesting trade scenarios.
Carr in New Orleans... that situation there has trouble written all over it.
    Joe Milton in New England
Winston as a free agent - Dear God no.

    Draft day trades
To get to #1 I think you're going to have a pick in the top 10 to even negotiate.
I 'think' the Patriots are the next team willing to negotiate. Not real high on the trade up scenarios.

If Rogers wants a 2 year deal, that works. You can still go big in the 26 draft and have Rogers in 26. It's not an awful scenario.

Mason as #1, not real terrible... does he mentor a 26 drafted QB?

That very well may be, do the homework on tape and take the pick if available, even if ready by week 10, unless you have a team surrounding him (including coaching) like we had with Ben in 04, and we don't, then expect massive rookie mistakes. That is fine as well if he shows promise, if not move on and take your pick nest year. Just tired of thinking we are almost there, when we are no where close.

I like Jaxon Dart the best of the group because he is only 21 years old. He can sit and learn behind a veteran for a couple of years. QB's like Shough and Gabriel turn 26 this year they don't have the luxury to wait around for a couple of years.

You think Wilson and Smith are the first QB and OC to have issues?

3 years $100 million is the asking price for Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson right now.

Are you pulling the trigger now, or waiting until after the draft to get a cheaper deal on these guys?

I still think there is going to be a team taking a 1st round QB this year that will be wanting to unload last years starter.
