Hey I am not going to be greedy. Last year the 3 heads at the QB threw 13 TDs. Last year's version of Russ threw 26 TDs. I will be Happy if we get the 2023 version of Russ and he scores another 26 TDs with the Steelers this year.

 

True and this is what I said in post 974 in this thread but no way I will be happy with his numbers if this is what Wilson or Fields will have in 2024.....Not with a 6.0 YPA and struggle big time to throw at 5 yards or more...We need higher standard than that!

 

Well Iike I said in another post....His last year was very much like Ben's last year.....yet for many(not myself)that wasn't enough, but now it will be??? Last part wasn't to You , but to the people that think it will be, but thought Ben should retire.

The difference,Wilson had 6.8 YPA vs 6.0 for Ben....It would still not enough for me unless he is amazing on 3rd down and red zone but still better that 2021 Ben

 

After the offensive debacle in the last 2 years, if we have a qb throw for 26 tds, I think we would all be happy

 

It will matter how many turnovers, and wins go with that for Myself.

 

.8 isnt very much better, not really much of a difference.

 

.8 yards per passing play is a lot after like 500 pass attempts....This stats don't tell the whole story too but this is the difference between the bottom half and bottom 3

Arthur Smith is a running guy anyhow. But I feel you're not going to see that and try bumping threads at the end of the season and say it meant that wilson was a joke.

 

You do know the youtube video i posted stated that? That Arthur Smith is run first, Pickens is going to get upset and it also stated It wont help Russ much. But im a hater and you come back with this.

Me saying head scratching draft had absolutely nothing to do with the Steelers. I was referring to all the qbs taken and Penix at 8.
And why is it hating when someone says Russ hasnt been relevant for almost 10 years?
Also, I think a few would agree if MT doesn’t win a playoff game this year it is time to move on. But that is more like common sense than hate, agreed?

I think....I have watched football, and played before You were even born.....so if I watch the games I will know what we are doing, and I feel like I've said 500 hundred times I'm 100% behind Wilson....so You can take what you think You feel, and .....well You know what You can do with it. I said I believe Wilson is at the end of His career....like Ben was at the end of His career. I still think Ben had a few more years left, and I think so does Wilson. So stop trying to peg people into certain holes.

Same. It really keeps the opposing defense on their toes. It just takes a really good playbook OC and QB to follow thru. And I think both of these guys can do it.

I'm not sure if fields can. I don't know what that football IQ level is. Nor have I ever really seen much on him.

 

Russ is a mature vet - with still some arm and talent left in the tank (I think)

another strong WR will keep S's at bay, out of the box - ASmith can mix up pass and run depending on coverage and D scheme - Russ can read and audible. he is no dummy.
