That pizza probably way too pricey to be served on newspaper. :hmm:

I hope Russell Wilson is able to snap back and play as his former self. He hasn't had a career altering injury that Ben did. I'm not sure I'm excited about a 35-year-old QB and feel it can be short sighted, but I guess that may be the "Win Now" philosophy. If we were going to lose Mason and start a new experiment, I guess I may have been more in on Justin Fields.

Well, i have some more regurgitated stats on your boy KP superfan. Since the merger, Pickett is the only QB with at least 500 pass attempts to have thrown a touchdown on fewer than two percent of those attempts. He is, quite literally, the worst quarterback in recent NFL history when it comes to touchdown rate.

How do like those apples? KP pom pom waver

That isn't new. The Rudolph fanboys have been posting that one on repeat quite often. You just answered my question without answering it. You thoughtlessly regurgitated nonsense from some website with no credentials like the thoughtless fanboy you are.

How in the hell are we still having this pissing contest in every single thread?

Enough already. Let's worry about the players currently on the Steelers and root for Mason to do well with the Titans.

Ahhh:shrug:....Its all in fun for Me now. Pushing buttons, and whatnot. He's a Titans, and while I have been a Mason supporter since He was drafted....He's not a Steelers now.....so F**k him. LoL...., but I don't let that interfere with messing with Scribe. :lolol:

I am just curious, why is everyone assuming Russ is not going to be here next year in 2025?

If Russ cooks this year, why do you think the Steelers would kick him out of town, so Kenny Pickett can play in 2025?

I don't think anyone thinks that do they? I believe even the ecstatic ones are holding their breaths. The man has not been the same in 3 years. Well since the injury to His finger. Last year he looked ok.....until you really look, and that was with one of the best play callers in the NFL (who didn't want Him anymore). I've said many times....if this was 6 years ago I would be excited beyond doubt(kinda like the PP signing at CB), but it's not. I hope He can be everything We need, and We really want to resign him.

If he has a year around 30 TD's and over 3,000 yards and the Steelers win a playoff game, then he could replicate a similar situation that Baker Mayfield did for Tampa last year. Mayfield came in for the league minimum as a castoff and parlayed it into a playoff winning season and a big new contract.

I like the Kurt Warner to Arizona from NY Giants comparison. Many people forget that after his days in St Louis with the greatest Show on Turf, he had 1 year in NY, going 5-4, before being replaced by Eli Manning. And then it was off to Arizona for the next 5 years and his Superbowl run.

I became a big Russell fan when his Wisconsin beat Michigan State (with Prime LeVeon Bell) in a shootout. MSU would score and Russell would single handed bring Wisconsin back. But I am not sure about 5 ft 10 Russell in a 36 year old body getting pounded on cold turf in AFC north. I think we will see Pickett again for a significant part of the season and that’s where Steelers playoff chances end.

I think Russ will be alright, he ain't no punk. He's been successful in the league and has played in cold weather his entire career. Has he lost a step? Yes, but he's a pretty smart kid and I look forward to seeing what he can do with the Steelers.

On the contrary I think there is a good possibility of him being here next year

Unless he is fantastic I don’t see him being out of our budget on a 2 year deal

Especially if KSP does not break out this year

The Steelers got a heck of a bargain for less than 2 mill. ATL is the team that may feel pain, shelling out 180 mill on Cousins for 4 years. One of my concerns is replacing DJ with a competent WR but I'm sure they're working on that.
