You Picket defenders are ridiculous. He is really terrible so far in his career. He never gets to 300 yards total offense and struggles to score over 18 points a game. I wanted him to succeed but the stats show he is a first round flop therefore, the steelers signed Wilson. 6 tds is embarrassing for a qb in todays game. He had his shot and could not be better than Mason Rudolph who was beaten out by Duck Hodges. NUFF said.

 

I admit I was not too thrilled to begin with but for 1.2 Million it’s a steal to see if he can get it done.

The Steelers right now are in the "let's fk up another quarterback's career" mode. This is a team without a plan.

 

Good move by the Steelers consider the reported money and Wilson's experience.

Minimal risk/investment and it’s not like we have a proven QB on our roster.

 

It is an upgrade at the position for pennies on the dollar. If he is washed up, cost us nothing to drop him like a bad habit. Field would have been super expensive and cost us a draft pick for a qb with worse stats than wilson. We choose wisely.

I'm not a Russell Wilson fan and I did not want the Steelers to sign him. However, I do have to say that getting Russell Wilson for 1.2 million a year is an excellent value for your money signing. He's easily worth 1.2 million a year. I definitely think that there's a screw you Denver factor on Russell Wilson's part involved in this. I also think that there is the possibility that Russell Wilson might just try and go all out to further rub it in Denver's face.

I've read a lot of stories about Russell Wilson and his prima donna actions with Seattle and Denver. His own personal coaches, trainers and his traveling posse that go with him everywhere. I really hope that Mike Tomlin squashes that and pushes Russell Wilson to add value and be a member of the team. Unfortunately there's a history of prima donna's on the Steelers and a lack of consequences for their behavior.

But, as a Steelers fan I'm just going to hope that Russell Wilson really wants to stick it to the broncos and make it clear what they lost by pushing himself to be all he can be for the Steelers. I think that's probably the best motivating factor we're going to get out of him based on his history.

 

Russell Wilson has thrown for 105 TD's the last 4 years. Kenny Pickett has thrown for 13 in his two years here, there is absolutely no debate that the Steelers are a better team now than they were last season.
