Went to a small gathering at my wife's cousin's house last night. One of his friends, his wife, and son are Steelers fans. We all found out about the new report about Wilson around the same time. I ended up explaining Dulac's flip-flopping to them.

 

Dulac is turning into a major prick and has been for a few years. I quit reading the Post Dispatch because of his arrogance.

 

Exactly. They don't "fix" him by benching him. The only way to hopefully "fix" him is to roll with him until he either figures it out or fails his way out. If Wilson is brought in, they've concluded that he isn't going to be fixed and they are moving on.

 

No way this is true or the steelers waste their time big time with that...No way Wilson will accept to be a backup, let alone to a QB with 13 TD passes in 2 years....

It looks like that report traces back to Noah Strackbein, so it is probably worthless.

 

My money says the "Source" of this is something Rich Eisen said this week, based on that interview Dulac gave on his show last week.

 

Yeah they were talking about this on some podcast over my lunch break. Russell met with the Giants yesterday, will be meeting with the Steelers tonight, and then flying to Las Vegas for an interview on Saturday.

They said if things go well we may hear something later tonight from the Steelers.

I cannot take sports reporting seriously.. 95% of these guys/gals are hacks. They don't care about integrity anymore, it's all about gettint clicks and views, so they'll put anything out there. If it doesn't hit, oh well, just blast out a new tweet and forget anything was ever mentioned. The NHL trade deadline was ridiculous with the amount of BS reports floating around. Stuff not even remotely true being picked up by major news outlets. There were quite a number of oddball stories floating around the Steelers this season as well. I know damn well most of them were completely fabricated or had the truth greatly exaggerated.

They were yacking this morning about Russ being seen at Newark and spent time on why would he fly through there to Pitt (before the Giants thing broke). Have they flown lately? Trying to get a flight to Milwaukee from my area, either Philadelphia, Harrisburg, or Baltimore I have to go through, Chicago, Detroit, Charlotte, Atlanta, Cinci, or Nashville. My point, a guy is spotted and it starts conversations before any news is official, and it builds from there, just ridicules.
