Of course not but if the OL/DL is the priority, wouldn't they be our first picks?

We have a first rounder in cam and a second in tuitt. Don’t remember where Alualu was drafted, but it makes no difference. Should they have drafted defensive lineman in the first two rounds to back up elite players? Or did they have other holes to fill?

Alualu was as first round pick for Jax and 34 going into this season. Unless they think they can easily replace NT with 30-something guys every few years, they need to draft another guy early. Hargrave is the only guy they drafted that wasn't day 3 of the draft in the last ten years, and the only one that worked out.

DT's drafted in the Tomlin era. Maybe it's time to start valuing the position.

    Steely McBean - 4th round
    Ra'Shon Harris - 6th round
    Doug Worthington - 7th round
    Drunky Ta'amu - 4th round
    Nick Williams - 7th round
    Mount McCullers - 6th round
    Leterrius Walton - 6th round
    Javon Hargrave - 3rd round
    Josh Frazier - 7th round
    Isaiah Buggs - 6th round
    Carlos Davis - 7th round

We have multiple first round draft picks every year. All holes must be filled! It’s obvious the Steelers don’t value a position because they don’t draft that position on day one.

Mcbean developed into a starter and won a super bowl ring with the ravens.

The only good NTs we've had came on day one or two, going back to Steed and Hampton.

McBean started 21 games in his 4 year career and was out of the league after the 2011 season.

which makes his career right in line with 99% of nfl players. Chris Hoke was a good nt for us. Probably would have started for any other 3-4 team that didn’t already have a Hampton.

But he never started in a Super Bowl.

Hoke was a good rotational guy, only started 18 games, only 8 after his rookie year when he had to fill in for Snack. We need the next 10-year plug, not more Just a Guy type players.

I will agree with you on that to an extent. However, they don’t grow on trees and are generally snatched up long before the Steelers are in a position to draft. My hope for 2022 is the Steelers skip drafting a qb in the first and get Jordan Davis the nt from UGA.

Anyway you look at it, Bush is not going to make a remarkable change to greatness. Maybe a little faster going sideline to sideline as his kneel gets better, but besides the physical changes he needs to make but also his mental and toughness he needs to make changes. Hoping he gets better is a dream because it is too much to change.

In the mean time please replace him now with anybody as we are playing defense with only 10 men.

Would it have made any difference? With the injuries, Covid and weaknesses elsewhere do we really want to give up draft capital to be a marginally better team?

Tuitt hosed us this year, I don't appreciated his immaturity at this point. Making millions, taking a holiday. Just a symptom of society at large, I guess.

He and Alualu out killed the run D. And O'Lay Bush and Minkah don't help. both working on self preservation each time a runner comes their way.

We miss VWilliams, that is for sure. A mistake letting him get out.....

we over valued him - another FO mistake, another desperate draft move (See suck Edmunds....).

Williams retired we can’t stop that lol but yes if we had Tyson tuitt and Vwilliams our run D would be great. We were 3rd in average allowed in 2019, but 15th in total yards. Still a good run defense.

I think he was all in until Tomlin signed Schobert, if I recall. he said 'screw this' and called it a day.

Tuitt has a knee injury, so explain how he hosed the team?

Steelersdepot said that's in doubt now because Dupree has missed a lot of time this season, they might have to settle for a 4th.
