He is inconsistent now at handling double teams, but I think it could be a strength if he’s coached better on playing a two-gap technique. IMO he lasted to the 5th round because he is still developing, not because he lacks the necessary traits.

When they don't get TOs they look like the near-bottom ranked team that they are.

Other factor; red zone. Top ten on both offense and defense. That'll win you a few games.

The best thing AR has brought this year is redzone TD efficiency. It’s a huge difference from years past.

It helped that they spent the money on a quarterback in his prime.

Stop people with this takeaways nonsense.
    1. Is part of coaching, and 2. How many games have we lost because of takeaways by the other team?
    3. Even more.....how many games have actually been won this year by any team without a takeaway???
Yet somehow it's a knock on us. LoL

Again, comeback in another 5 years, and tell me this.
I heard the exact same about Daboll, Mike McDaniels, Kevin O'Connell, Kliff Kingsbury, and many , many others who are now either fired, and , or are having terrible seasons. Some of You crown people way , way too soon, and then act like You didn't say it years later when they suck.
Also this is not just to you.

True but the seahawks is also number 2 number scoring defense in the NFL(despite the seahawks offense have 23 turnovers,31st in the NFL) and 6th in yards...They were 25th in PPG in 2023,30th in yards(remember when the steelers had a big game against that defense, they were that bad)

Remember the McDonald is a defensive coach, the ravens miss him big time

That take away part of the game has cost us quite a few yards at times. You see 2 to 4 Steelers trying to get the ball from someone, but nobody is tackling him as he ambles on down the field for more yards. I remember one play a few games ago where that happened on a 3rd down. They got around 15 yards and a 1st down on the play. If the Steelers had just tackled the guy, it would have been 4th down. But the take away was a higher priority than tackling for them. They need more situational awareness. Take aways are awesome, but don't let your opponent march on down the field because you are trying so hard for a take away that you have stopped playing football!
