This will be good
What is a Jay-Z?
Does that mean the home crowd will have to put up with Beyoncé singing the national anthem?
If there has to be a rapper, I'd rather it be Snoop Dogg.
Yeah, there's levels to this. This is way out of Snoop Doggs budget.
Please don’t bring this garbage to Pittsburgh. Can just see it now. Jay z and Beyoncé being in attendance with paparazzi and headlines all over the place. No thanks.
I rather have that type of distraction then on the field. Maybe that's what they need.
Steelers have knocked down a lot of barriers for African Americans in the NFL. Rooney Rule. Only two African American head coaches to win a Super Bowl have ties to the Steelers. The most loved players in the city. I don't see what's wrong with adding this to the resume. I don't think you guys understand the pull he has with the youth. Jay Z is the biggest/most successful/businessman rapper there is. Great asset for the organization. Juju is signed to his sports agency, Roc Nation.
well 5% will get him as much influence as the other part owners of the steelers...NADA... he will have NO decision making ability....although 5% is roughly $130million...so with the way NFL team values keep going up...he'll make about 25-50 million profit per year....
I'm not a rap/hip hop guy but I also don't doubt that he would affect the Steelers merchandise sales indirectly. If the younger generation that follows him, sees a lot of Steelers gear in pics/videos etc, I'm sure some would follow suit.
One question though, would it be a conflict of interest if he has a sports agency? How could you represent players if you are an owner of another team?
Would Rather him buy the pirates
Me too. I'm 62 years old and I have no idea who he is.
The team signed Michael Vick, so I wouldn't call Jay Z and Beyoncé garbage, he would be a minority owner with no say if it happened.
Quite a leap from Crooner Owner
to Wrapper Owner
So, wouldn’t it be a conflict of interest for him to be an owner and represent players as an agent?
Pretty sure it’s a limited edition Nissan sports coupe
I think what the Rooney’s have done for black Americans is great. I respect jay z , reasonable doubt is one of my favorite albums and he’s a clever dude but him and Beyoncé are almost as bad of attention whores as the kardashians. No thanks.
Oh god.. NO!!
Nothing to see here, if he becomes a minority share holder, you'll forget about it before the ink drys.
No big deal.
