4:00 everything gets turned off. I am getting my football fill with the early games. Then my sister will bother the hell out of my wife asking what I'm doing and I'll be pacing the house for 3 hours. I'll know when the eagles score due to my loud (but nice) neighbors.

I'm an avid Pirate fan and I'll always remember 1992, our last real chance at the WS. I could not watch game 7 against the Braves. I walked the streets for hours and got home just in time to see Bream cross home plate. Deep deep depression for days.

Agree!! problem is I've spent so many years hearing it when Pittsburgh sports suck but not a word when we win. Flyer fans use to be all over my ass but once we won Cups, not a frigging word. It is how spiteful **** is said to me that gets on my nerves.

That was the worst loss in pro sports history for Pittsburgh. I threw my remote against the wall, sat on my front porch steps drinking beer and smoking cigarettes until 4 a.m. after that game. I knew it was all over for that team.

Don't be that guy, right? I USED to be that guy. Unable to sleep after a bad loss. A total bastard to be around. It was stupid and wasteful, but I usually managed to get a lot of things done because of angry energy. I watch the games and enjoy them more now than I ever did because I'm not as emotionally invested. I have to admit though that the Stanley Cup playoffs are two and a half months of pure anguish, lol.

 

Sid Bream was my daughter's middle school basketball coach. He was telling me that if he would have been out the Braves would have had to play the rest of the game with a pitcher in the outfield because they were out of position players.

 

I was the same way, getting angry over a loss. Now I’m disappointed and upset but I get over it in seconds
