Just like Ben took Tommy Maddox job. Tommy started that season and then went down with injury. Ben comes in and the rest is history.

I don’t disagree with any of that. I think a lot of people are misinterpreting my post. I’m looking at it from an organizational standpoint and I think being a first rd pick and coming off his best game to date will prompt them to go back to him when they feel his ankle is good enough to play on.

Going to be interesting to see what Tomlin does this week.

He has shown in more in these two games than the other two. The team realizes this and is energized. Even Ben never beat Seattle in Seattle. No one is arguing that Mason was terrible after his knockout. I have claimed that there was a reason for his poor play. I have laid out the reasons before the Cincinnati game. I pointed that he had potential and put his stats before his knock out. His quarterback rating before the knock out was 102 which I said compares favorably with even Ben or Brady. A poster called me clueless for saying that Mason was better than Brady or Ben ...which is far from what I was implying and that's why I called him an idiot for raising that ridiculous straw man. All I said and that he showed potential before his knock out and I hoped he can regain that in his play against Cincinnnati. He has shown that he has regained that in both the games. Here's another article that echoes what I have said.

You give me a outlier....for every one You give Me in the NFL.....I can give You 10 that has went that way. Yes Belichick owns Tomlin....it's a fact, but He's the only coach that does. Plus one thing You are not saying. Belichick is the GM/HC.....Tomlin is not.....He's just a HC.

After reading all this....all I can say is....before these last two games.....there was about 4 people on this whole board that said Mason was the best Qb on the team right now, and the rest laughed at us. Now all of a sudden everyone knew. LOL. Shall I pull up old post???

LoL. How do You know that. It's funny you say Tomlin wanted a mobile Qb, but they didn't take the most mobile Qb in the draft, and they have gotten rid of the most mobile Qb that have been on the team....like Dobbs. Again. Tomlin can't draft, and pick up all the bad pick, and bad FAs, and the GMs pick all the good picks, and good FA. You can't have it both ways. Tomlin makes suggestions....the Owners, and GMs make the picks.

Did I say "most mobile?" No! For one, Tomlin said he wanted a mobile QB, but that didn't mean it was a run first QB, like Willis. Do you remember the pro days of the mobile QBs that the Steelers went to visit, besides Willis, but Pickett, and Howell?

Circumstances killed the scoring in that game. They were driving on the first possession and had a negative 5-yard play. Got behind the chains and punted. They drove the field to the redzone and Warren fumbled. They made it to the Cin 20, had two 2-yard runs from Najee and ended up with a field goal. They made it to the 21 had no yards from Najee and 1 yard from Warren, ended up with a field goal. Bottom line, the run game didn't help in the red zone in that game, where as yesterday, they had 3 rushing touchdowns. Nonetheless, QB play was about the same.

Why do you think it will be interesting what Tomlin does this week? Insinuating that T will put in KFP? That would be asinine, wouldnt it? Ride the hot hand, everyone on offense is playing better with this chemistry right now, agree?

You do know the Steelers had right at 200 yds rushing against Bengals when KFP played?
After the red flag challenge, i wasnt mentally able to comprehend the meaning of post. You were talking about red zone rushing. I hereby sacrifice a life timeout and apologize. You are correct sir.

In a shocking turn of events, Mason pulls of the upset and we beat Baltimore in week 18. Then Mason delivers the first playoff win since 2017.

My buddy just told me he heard that Pickett refused to be a back up to Rudolph. Has anyone else heard this?

DJ had a TD that was wrongly overturned too. But the point is that a Kenny led offense has had trouble scoring 20 points in a game and has averaged about 16. The last two weeks a Rudolph led offense has scored 30+ and looked very efficient doing it.

That’s the rumor floating around. Hope it’s not true because if it is that says a lot about Kenny Pickett. I think if he’s inactive again this week, that will be very telling.

Does your buddy cut Pickett’s hair

Apparently barbers are a reliable source of quarterback insight

Not that I'm aware of. He's a teacher, but maybe he's been moonlighting as Pickett's barber too? :lolol:

Anyway, I was just wondering if it was just a rumor, or if there's an actual reliable source on this

It appears this came from Mark Madden who is as far from being a reliable Steelers source as anyone could be
