    A. A guy just hog-wrestled you to the ground 3 seconds after you threw the ball!

    B. The same guy just ripped your helmet off!

What do you expect him to do?

Yes, that is the letter of the law but have you ever seen anyone walk away from something like that? And do you really want your QB to walk away?

I care about Rudolph having to apologize as much as I care about him having to pay a fine, which is to say not at all as it doesn't impact me or my wallet.

Bad optics imo. Where do we draw the line when victims have to apologize? We didn't dig into what set Ray Rice off. Kareem Hunt was apparently called a racial slur and nobody asked the girl to apologize. Not to mention he's taking some blame on the day of MG appeal and he's walking out of the meeting smiling. He's going to get off easy, watch.

Rudolph did the right thing. He handled the apology with class. Even said he had no ill will. Does anyone know if MG offered a apology to Rudolph? Or just for his heinous act?
    Rudolph =class. MG= ASS!

Some of these fans must be Gandhi reincarnated. I want to meet the guy who just walks away after he gets dragged by his facemask and then has his helmet ripped off.

I think Garrett did apologize to Rudolph a few days after it happened.

If Rudolph would have just walked away, he would have been ripped as gutless, heartless, having no spine and not worthy of ever wearing the Steeler uniform again.

Title is clickbait. I don't see how that, never mind Ryan Clark playing in any part of this, Mason being forced as a result.

    You've got to be kidding?

MAson is a ***** for going over there? What does being a tough guy have to do with it? All these guys that play football are tough to a degree. They're getting the crap beat out of them, even QBs.

Mason, while starting the tussle while on the ground w/ the helmet pull, should have responded after Garrett decides to pull Mason's helmet off while he is ON the GROUND, causing Mason's head to be pulled up, and helmet jerked off.

Once Garrett got it off, you expect Mason to just think, ok, that was ok to do...NO, Garrett has escalated it, and Mason went after him. And looking at the film, Mason didn't care who was holding Garrett, and definitely didn't look like he was hiding behind his lineman. That comment was ridiculous.

He was going at him regardless, the linemen were right there. Garrett the one who looked like a *****. Swinging a helmet at somebody like a broad.

I think he was going over there to retrieve his helmet by any means necessary.

Having your helmet ripped off is disrespectful. He went to get his respect back.

If that means that he escalated, then so be it.

Heard the apology on Sirius channel 84 driving home and I think it was a classy and correct reponse from Rudolph

With that said, it was on the dawg pound radio show with Bernie Kosar and Jim Donovan. I just have to say that Kosar sounds like he is either drunk out of his mind or he has taken one too many blows to the head during his playing days. Hell, maybe both.

Pretty sure Bernie's childhood was a train wreck. His old man was a no good drunk that basically "managed" Bernie's money by relieving him of a good deal of it. Really sad. So, if he is/was drinking on his radio show, yeah, I kinda get it.
