I am not worried about the Steelers. They have great receivers and QB. That is what you need in the NFL today.

Their is a strange situation at the start of this season. There are only three undefeated teams, NO is 0-3, NE is 1-2, PIT is 1-2. The Ravens' defense was ineffective, Flacco looked like Rodgers, scoring is high, each replacement ref has there own understanding of the ridiculous rules for defending a pass (illegal contact happens on every passing play, five yards and an automatic first down is a draconian penalty for holding.) Also, arguably our two best defenders and our starting RB are out. What can you seriously expect.

I don't blame the replacements refs though the games are out of control because of them. They are new to the speed and complexity of the game. After every play, there are at least a half a dozen players and coaches in their faces trying to confuse them, and the NFL rules don't make much sense.

We are only one game back of the Ravens and Bengals that don't look any better than the Steelers. This is going to be an exciting year to watch unfold.

I'd rather catch fire in November and December than in September. That being said we have lots of problems to correct and I think the early bye week is good right now.

I do recall last year at the end of Sept stating that the team was 2-2 and would be lucky to finish 500 on the year with the way they had played to that point. They were able to stack enough wins to make the Playoffs where anything can happen. It didn't work out, but the point is....its still very early here. I am struggling to see how they turn this D around with the personnel on the roster, but I will hold on to the hope week in and week out until their season is over.

It really isn't just us. Even though the ravens won, they gave up 30 points, pats gave up 31, lions 44, san fran 24 I believe.

The problem is how and how quickly we give up all those points.
