Ohmar and Mr Rooney are in the process, it is not a blank check and pick whomever.
I got the vibe that Mr Rooney feels probably about the same way I feel about a guy named Canada.

The OC has to be one Mike can work with and one that can get the most out of this offense.
I really think the directive from Rooney and Ohmar is that this OC must be able to develop QB's and have a proven record of getting the most out of an offense.
They've interviewed 4 maybe 5. So, they aren't just hiring anyone.

Wait, I thought Rooney didn't care about playoff wins. Only making money?

Actions speak louder than words? I guess we will find out if they go another year with no playoff wins.

Well said Pastor Bob. Could you lead us in the good Lord’s Prayer like John Harbaugh?

AR has been doing this for years, this is where "never below .500" gets you. Stuck in the treacle of false hope and delusion.

Pickett and Tannehill are 2 different players. But you know that.

Tanney struggled early too, like Pickett is.

Tanney never made it to elite, as we know.

I don't think Pickett will either, but that is why we wait and see.

It's the transition from Ben which we all knew (for the most part) would suck

that is b/c they played WAY too much on the field, the OFFENSE had them out there WAAAY too long, week in and week out.

think about that for a few mins....

    #injuriesHAPPEN

That's because Tomlins agent wants a huge pay raise i'm sure and Rooney doesn't seem on board:

It will be handled when it’s handled, though it’s not imminent as the team searches for a new offensive coordinator. As for why Tomlin wasn’t extended this past offseason, Rooney offered that there was no particular reason for that.

And “I can’t get into that” is how he answered when asked how his stated impatience factors into negotiations this offseason with Tomlin and the coach’s representation. It’s a business, of course, and rare are the times Rooney and Tomlin are opposing forces rather than in lockstep trying to lead the Steelers forward.

Sounded to me like Rooney have praise to Mason with the line, "see what happened when we had quality QB play".

That was also a notice to Pickett. That's the expectation. I kind of expect Mason to be on the roster now. We'll see

    yes

Pickett needs to be on a short leash. I hope Rooney is tired of average. I am not sure he is.

    We will see.

Keeping Canada for another year was a real disaster in so many levels and it was predictable and we all knew it would be in January 2023... Only the Steelers didn't know that at that time!
