Frankly I was surprised 4 years ago he took the job, simply because he was 76 then. One term is probably enough.

Doubt he will be involved in the day to day operations of the team. He can inject his opinion any time he wants. My real concern is his ownership. With the death tax being reinstated Jan 1st, will his sons be able to hold on to his share?

Wasn't there an issue some time ago about no one owning a majority share? Isn't ownership divided between he and his brothers?

Well the death tax is 55% right? So you mean his kids could lose part of their share because of it? I never really thought about that before.

On the contrary, I'm not uncomfortable with political debate in the least. I pay attention to it like it's a sport and already have enough family member and fools from high school I exchange with more than I care to.

I just try to adhere to the rules. I know there have been many many times I have refrained from tossing in a little jab and more times let others stupid blind darts ride out. But since I abide by the rules I figured I'd make a forum, but you and that other guy still decided to keep it cheap. I prefer to keep it level headed and discuss rather than argue, but I can trade barbs with the best of them.

You guys can't wait to for the smallest open window to sprinkle in some divisive sound bite like you are in a bubble of like minded people drinking some loud mouth soup. Just for the record, YOU ARE NOT IN POLITE COMPANY.

    Well said. Agree completely.

(Apart from anything else, the politics of international ambassadors is largely separate from party politics...)

    Well, this was fun.

I'm glad Mr. Rooney will have more time at home to give his input on team affairs.
