    they will try to find an agreement if not they will play him till the contract ends and then franchise tag him , who knows maybe in 3 years we will not want ben anymore ..

    I think they can franchise him for two seasons in a row. that would give them 4 more years and ben would be going into the 5th year at 36 years old. knowing ben they may have to drag him off the field at 50. LOL who knows 4 years from now how he'll be.:cool:

    I'm OK with him leaving when he's 34 years old. Or at least I'm more OK with it than I would be with being stuck with him at that age on a cap crushing contract. Every player has their time ... and their time to move on. No one is bigger than the team.

    I don't disagree with you. I personally hope Ben stays and gives the Steelers a hometown discount. I just don't think he will.
