Rookie Numbers

He plays both TE and FB.

 

The 3rd TE typically doesn't play on the line. They are several steps off of the line. He'll be fine.

 

It doesn't matter. As a 3rd TE or a FB the routes will more than likely be a short outside slant, middle comeback, or flat as the check-down guy. I wouldn't think of it as he is a TE or a FB....there is so much overlap in the modern NFL. It's no different than when a RB motions to the WR slot.

 

I only said H back....because it's always been a hybrid TE- fullback position.

He put in the effort to get better and became pretty good

I would be curious to know why he didn't take #1.

 

I'm saying that the Steelers didn't seem to have much of a need for Rader last season. That was demonstrated by him only playing in six games. It is ludicrous to suggest it will be hard to displace a guy the Steelers didn't even bother to use in 11 games last season.

I hate the QB numbers that WRs wear these days. I'm old school... WRs should only wear 80's numbers.

 

Back when men were men and quarterbacks wore dresses
