Ben should have been MVP over Holmes... and if his name was any other QB he would have.

Look at Mahomes MVP.... really should have been the RB Damien Williams. Mahomes threw 2 INTS in the 2nd half...Williams scored 2 TDs in the 4th Quarter... including a 38 yard run for the game winning TD with under 2 minutes to play

And yeah Ben as the youngest QB to ever win a Super Bowl played poorly.... there is a reason young QBs don't get to or win a SB... but look at his playoff performance leading up to that SB

49 of 72 ..780 yards 7 TDs 1 INT 1 rushing TD... a QB rating of 130.6 .. plus THE TACKLE ...all on the road ..... no BEN and the Steelers are not even in the SB

    HACK

Thanks for the correction. And thanks for getting the Basics of what i was trying to say.

Ben definitely could have been so much more.

The turning point of SB 45 was Ben's pick six, but that was on Kemoeatu getting walked back into his lap. If he holds his ground, Wallace might have had a 90+ yard TD, making it 7-7 instead of 14-0.

There was a couple of Brady's SB MVP's that his numbers were so pedestrian and he even had mistakes but the voters are just in awe of him. There was on game I can't remember if it was the AFCCG or the SB but they schemed the whole offense to get Edelman the ball in space and he just went off and I thought to myself No way they make him the MVP because I think he was suspended for PED's that year. Didn't Brady also win it that year the Seahawks gift wrapped it for them? And his numbers were meh that game too.

I honestly would be surprised if Layne makes the 53 man roster in light of recent events unless he has an above average camp and preseason. He's on thin ice.

I think him making the roster will be based solely on football, he got a plea deal so it's only a misdemeanor now, he could face discipline from the NFL.

I'd feel more confident that they'd keep him around despite his stupidity in Ohio if he actually showed he could play a little. What I've seen of him, he looks lost and I've seen better tackling technique in pick-up games.

You think they'll make him cut weight, add weight, or remain the same?

I'd say add. I don't think he is considered a home run back so if he could add a few pounds of muscle that may give better ability to take punishment. With our OL, yeah, he'll need it I think. Then again, maybe stay with what you got and adjust later if needed.

He's 230lbs, he doesn't need to add any weight.

I think he’ll stay right where he is. He can already do all the things Bell did and at this weight.

I don’t think they will deliberately want him to gain weight per se, but he is young and there is room for muscle development which in turn will be weight.
