One of the big things here is they let Frey go, I know some here were very high on him. FWIW

 

he was the only other guy with nfl experience. washington has more.

 

Yes however I remember before the draft as we all were talking about the CB position Frey's name was thrown out there a lot. I am to lazy to go back thru the posts on who it was and it really don't matter but I just was posting that Frey was cut and I would have thought with some being high on him it would have been talked about.

 

i was one of them. that was why i thought he might stick since he was the only other guy with nfl experience. now its washington. or maybe washington was added since we didn't draft any buckeyes this year and it helped meet our quota.

 

Mac, I wasn't trying to point people out I just wanted to hear from the guys who were pretty high on Frey. I will admit I didn't know much on him so for me this wasn't a big deal, but I know predraft there was a lot of talk that Frey was the forgotten man.

 

when i went in and looked at the pics from the off season workouts and was commenting on them in that thread, i did notice frey was not a very built guy compared to cockrell or burns. he just looked small and average. maybe they wanted bigger. i remember donald washington from osu but haven't seen paid a lot of attention to what he's done over his career. with a premium on db's in this league it suprises me that he was completely out of this league.

 

Yeah hard to believe a guy from a good program who is still fairly young could be out of the league, kinda makes you think camp body and/or incentive for these younger guys we have now? Like you say this is a passing league you always need DB's. Going to be fun to watch this group this year.
