I think Romo is an outstanding commentator. Offers a lot of insight that others can’t or won’t.

If they ever need insight on what it's like to lose playoff games he's perfect for it

It's not just our game, but I guess I have to remember at this point in Romo's life, he should know how not to do things.

It's 4 and 1. Jags won't go for it. Why take the penalty? Oh my what a risk Tomlin is making!!!!

( 30 seconds later) Oh...WOW what a difference in field position.

Second coming of Vin Skully on CBS

Very boring to me. He'd be great on the food network.

If Joe Theismann was doing it I wouldn't even watch.

Tony Romo is arguably the best color commentator in the business.

I have no issues with him. Very analytical and passionate but also calculated.

Your post should come with an asterisk. Something along the lines of •complain about every single commentator in the known universe

I enjoyed both Romo and Nantz predicting a timeout before the two minute warning, then spending the next 30 seconds explaining why Tomlin should have called one.

Conventional wisdom is to use the timeout there. Tomlin opted to save it in case we made it into fg range. We ended up not needing it, but doing so gave us options offensively.

Agree. May not always like what he says regarding the Steelers, but he’s pretty good.

I might consider shooting up cough syrup if he was still doing games.

In the fourth on what was I think the Jags next to last possession, he saw pre snap movement, and said, "They are going to throw". And then they ran. Either goes to his not really knowing and guessing, or Jags complete passing impotence. Likely the latter, but still funny as hell.

Romo is by far my favorite commentator. He’s the only one that’s like, “welp, that’s how it was called so it should stand.” Every other commentator goes, “ooo ughh ahh, Mike, what did you see?”

Romo is the best commentator right now.

I really wish we had the option to turn off announcers and just hear the sounds of the stadium and game. On ESPN games online you can sometimes watch the whole game from the skycam and then you don't get announcers. You just get a scroll at the bottom of the screen with the info on the previous play and the sounds of the game and stadium. I love it. Plus that camera is pretty amazing at catching everything and you get a better look at the action.

A long time ago, they tried a game with no announcers. MNF? It wasn’t very popular. To me, it just seemed weird.
