More interested in Snoop Dogg attending. Maybe MT will let him call some offense..... Blount420, Doobie22, Chronic1 Hike. Just another 2 yard pass on 3rd and 8.

Talk about reading the tea leaves.

Why on god’s green earth would he want to finish out his career with a team that’s rebuilding? If we were a team that was a qb away from the SB then maybe. A rebuild? No freaking way.

It's interesting we know how self-absorbed AR is. I wasn't aware that he was close to BR and did he attend Peyton Manning or Drew Brees' last home games?

Don't want or think this will ever happen and the link will may only provide optimism to those who do want him here. I think he'd bring a ton of baggage for the same reasons that he has had with GB. Not sure the Rooney's would want to take this on or even consider this. Their business model seems to use the draft to get their best franchise QBs during the SB era. JMO>

Stop reading into these stupid click bait articles. For one, he's not "attending" anything. He's going to have a guest spot, via satellite, on the Manningcast version of the MNF ESPN broadcast.

Pretty much any article you see that is titled so vaguely is click bait. Those pop up all the time.

not to mention acquiring rodgers would slow down the rebuild effort. the packers are not going to give him away, so there goes draft picks, plus another big bloated QB contract keeps you from signing quality free agents at other positions. by the time they could get a functioning team around him he will be retiring.
rodgers is on the pat macafee show all the time. pat was speculating about rodgers retirement.

Maybe he doesnt wants to be in the same conf where Brady plays on his last years... But i agree, its very unlikely. But in my opinion he is the only option for the steelers to be competive the next 2 years.
But for this reason is it worth to pay any high picks and the money. Not sure

so we want to not pay much but have a top tier franchise qb to run the team because we need other players more.

we will have about 100 million tied up in 7 defensive players, two of which either don't play or give half an effort. those two have cost us a 1st, two 2nd's and a 3rd round draft pick. we still can't stop the run or pass. one of those 7 isn't signed yet. another one many want to cut to save 7.5 million with nobody to replace him with. we still need a slot corner, a safety, a defensive end and an ilb. our NT is old as well.

QB is where you spend the money with two good young receivers, a good young RB and a good young TE all still on rookie contracts. especially when you have the most money to invest then you have had in a long time.

personally, i'd cut banner, tuitt, derek watt and joe haeg to free up 12 million dollars to go with the 40 we already have. 52 million to play with. grab a QB, a vet center and tackle with that money. then draft a safety, ILB, DE and WR. fill in with DT and offensive linemen. oh and sign witherspoon at corner.

play out next year and let the dead money come off the books and then worry about minkah and johnson next year.

Well, if he were to come here, it almost guarantees that we'd make whatever moves necessary to have a good offensive line, because there's no way he agrees to play behind this slop.

    NO... WAY!!!

And as others have said, then there's all the holes on defense, as well.

Let's speculate for a moment just for fun. If he were playing in tonight's game and the Browns put 9 guys in the box to stop Harris with a single high safety even with an oline held together with duct tape and bailing wire could Rodgers make them pay for doing it? If the answer is yes then even with a rebuild he could still lead to a 10 win season.

Agreed about the cuts. Curious about your choices regarding draft personnel.

Personally speaking, I seriously doubt Trai Turner is likely to go as well. That would make Offensive Guard a priority for certain but there are some options available next year. Even including that though, a good number of Interior Offensive Lineman to choose form heading into the 2022 NFL Draft. As much as I would love to get Tyler Linderbaum, Kenyon Green from Texas A&M would not be a bad consolation prize; best Guard in the draft.

Whoever is a close second to Green.... is not a close second at all.

Who cares about 10 win seasons? I want to win Super Bowls. Not overpay for a qb whose best days are behind him. That just takes away money that could be used to sign our own free agents or replace them with better options.

OK I have to ask because I can't decide if you meant it this way but you do realize that you are describing the last two years for the Steelers right?

Trai turner is not that good. I'd think hard about moving green to guard and getting a vet center. Linderbaum is pretty good but he's not a first rounder. I watched him hard Saturday and he got abused on the bull rush the play he got hurt. I also watched him get out to block on the edge at least 4 times and he didn't touch anybody. Just not sure he's head and shoulders that much better then the next few center's and not first round must have.

there are a couple of ILB that can fly. The kid from Penn state may be a possible target. Not done with evaluations yet but there will be some good players available when we pick.
